Even if CJJ has no intention of using him, sending Skenes to the pen in the fifth inning of a close game will be noticed by everyone and could cause Gator hitters to start pressing.
So if he can’t pitch for the rest of the CWS, how about a pinch hit opportunity?

Go with Money, Cooper, Guidry on Saturday.
Ain’t no way we are burning Guidry and Cooper on Saturday if we are pitching backwards.
I would start Little, then come in with Collins and Dutton. If you get to Dutton in the early innings I would ride him through nine.

Figuring it by hours is more accurate by figuring 10 pm to 10 pm. This considers hours after last game and before a game to pitch. For Paul Skenes, he would have 3 days, 18 hours rest. Not much difference, but every hour rest helps.

He pitched 6 innings and allowed 0 runs vs Tennessee last Tuesday. WTF are you talking about? That's 4 days rest.
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Ack has never been stretched like that. Asking him to come back and do it again 4 days later is a lot. Skenes made it look easy, but he's Skenes. Skenes and Floyd have been conditioned to throw a ton of pitches. Ack hasn't. Just temper expectations is all.
