I personally do not thing Jennings is the QB that can lead this team, he struggles going through his reads, very hesitant, and poor pocket presence. Harris will have his struggles, but the experience thing between Harris and Jennings is a BS excuse, Harris brings much more to the table and has so much potential. Harris is a dynamic playmaker that we are lacking. With that being said, whoever is at QB needs help from the Olinemen, they have been horrible this season. The coaches cannot keep this iformation 1 WR set. We do the same thing every time, and most our pass plays only have 1 WR running a route. So youre f'd if he can't get open. IDC how good u are, you will be shut down and embarrassed if everyone knows whats going to happen. People who don't even watch football can see it. We need to mix it up, spread the defense out. If the QB can't make simple throws then he shouldn't be play, period.
The defense is concerning, the Dline is so weak up the middle, its been a complete miss on the recruiting trails. Welter has to be taken out, I like the guy but its beyond ridiculous now. Secondary isn't bad, White Robinson, Jefferson, Adams, Thomas are all very good players. Martin needs to be benched, and Adams needs to play. If the D line cant generate pressure then we need to blitz. Schemes on both sides the ball need to be changed.
Times have changed, its only going to get worse from here on out and even over the next few years if we do not change. If we do not make adjustments soon, we will have our asses embarrassed by Auburn, Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Florida and Arkansas will be interesting. This could be worse then 2008, I really hope the coaches come to reality and see this.

He has missed open receivers all season long. He's a one read QB. If it's not there he bails.
People definitely are blasting the D, but that doesn't make Jennings and the rest of the O immune to blame. They have the D zero rest for the first 3 quarters. They went 3 & out all night long. I don't care if your D is the 85 bears, if they are on the field as much as LSU's D was they would get gashed as well.
There are a lot of areas that need to be improved. The big 4 are the Oline, Dline, QB, and obvious personnel issues.

Jennings isn't a lost cause, he's playing like an inexperienced QB. I definitely think platooning QB's this year wouldn't be a bad thing though.

Defense was extremely bad. Our whole D-line is undersized and our LB's aren't hole pluggers like we have had in the past. Kwon,Jones.Louis, Riley, and any others are all sideline to sideline guys but aren't short yardage hole pluggers. They almost look like nickel backs in other SEC defenses Welter is neither sideline to sideline nor a hole plugger he just isn't a big time MLB like we are used to. It seems to me that LSU D as a hole is slim and a little light in the britches. I don't know if its just the type of guys we have recruited or if its the guys not transforming into their full physical potential.

Jennings has played fairly well. His major problem is that our lack of an effective, consistent run game has put a lot of pressure on his passing which is not his best attribute.
He has overthrown wide open receivers on occasion but every quarterback does that some. The main problem I think is indecision and not looking for secondary receivers when the main guy is covered. Too often he throws into heavy coverage when the 2nd. or 3rd. guy is open.
Because of the lack of run game, I think Brandon Harris should be given his chance now and we should start passing a lot more, especially on first down, which will hopefully also loosen up the defense so that the run will start to work also.

I support Jennings, I want him to do well. Other then a deep ball he really struggles making all the other throws. He struggled against Wisconsin, played well against SHSU because.... it SHSU. He struggled against Monroe, I knew coming in against MSU that this could get bad, we didn't try throwing the ball against Monroe. At some point I think you need to give Harris a shot, not saying he'd be any better but you have to try.

He doesn't turn the ball over, and I haven't noticed him missing wide open receivers incredibly often (correct me if I'm wrong here).
Wrong here. Middle of the field is open a lot. Plus a good qb throws receivers open. He had a little bit of magic with Dural but seems to be under throwing him now.

Jennings is a 1 read QB. He picks one receiver and stares at him until he gets open, if said receiver doesn't get open, he runs, throws it away, or takes a sack.
He always seems uncomfortable in the pocket (partially because of online struggles)
He can't adjust to a blitz by calling hot routes.
He has a great deep ball, but his intermediate/short throwing accuracy is terrible.
His play against state was some of the worst quarterback play I've ever seen. He makes JJ look like an all American.

bullshite.
It's amazing this board and the rest of you fans continue to tear the players apart. Then you all bitch when they commit elsewhere. Why would a player come here when it's just the fans pissed all the fricking time?

I don't always like our run first offense but Jennings or Harris needs to make the best of their opportunities.
When you get to throw then make the throw. Jennings missed a lot of open guys. If you hit those guys you benefit in 3 ways.
1- you pick up yardage
2- you loosen up the run defense
3- you build confidence and coaches won't hesitate to let you throw it.
Mett showed against Bama he could throw. He was then allowed to throw more often from that point and the next year we had an amazing offense.
If Harris or Jennings shows they can make the throws the reins will loosen.

This. They need to name him as the starter at least a week before a game, let him practice with the ones all week and see what he can do against a SEC team.
When our first team offense puts up 3 points in 3 quarters, something needs to be changed.

Rewatched the game and Jennings missed around 3 wide open throws that should have been easy completions.
Even though the play calling was awful and our o line was even worse Jennings progression and vision down the field was what stood out to me. If his 1st option wasn't open (usually he wasn't) he panicked. There was also like 3 or 4 times the fans noise was the only reason he knew someone was wide open down the field.

Yes, and our OLine is weak

IDK about everybody else, but I'm not blaming the QB. What I'm saying is just subpar or average QB play will not work this year. We do not have the run game nor defense to allow it. A team like Auburn will be up 20 points on us in the 3rd quarter, and we won't be able to come back.

Yep, and when it was pointed out after the SHSU and ULM games, the people who pointed it out were accused of whining about nothing.

They just gave up 570 yards--which is apparently the most IN LSU HISTORY.
First - that seemed high. I decided to see how bad October 9, 1993 was (Florida-LSU).
Florida scored 58 points behind 510 total yards. We traded field goals in the first quarter, before Wuerffel connected for 2 TDs each to Jackson and Houston through the early third quarter, and the rout was on. Florida backups Dean and Kresser went 7/8 for 131 yards and 1 TD. Howard and Loup combined for 19/33, 173 yards with 3 interceptions.
Keep in mind this LSU team had NFL players like Kevin Mawae, Gabe Northern and Eddie Kennison on it. We rushed for 2.6 yards per carry.

Plays like the one that McGee took a part of, when he threw it, are plays that will excite our offense and get things rolling....
