It doesn't matter, no Ohio State QB will play for LSU next year

I thought I read something yesterday where Cardale said he wasn't ready for the draft. Guess he changed his mind?
Also, if he tweeted "Life changing decision at 4pm today" and his decision is to stay, he's pretty good at trolling.

That must be Mountain Time because everyone knows that all important pressers are at 4.

Redshirt sophomore Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones will hold a press conference Thursday at 3 p.m. ET [bumped to 4 p.m. ET, according to local media]. Jones, who entered the season as the Buckeyes' third-string quarterback, won the national title Monday in his third career start and is eligible for the NFL Draft.
Jones faces a risky decision, with little playing time under his belt but little opportunity to expand his resume at Ohio State. Quarterbacks Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett are both expected to return next season. Barrett said he expects Jones to come back to Columbus, while Jones previously said he doesn't think he's ready for the NFL quite yet (he also said his "most important focus" is getting his degree).
Life changing decision at 3pm
— Cardale Jones (@CJ12_) January 15, 2015
Ohio State expected to start the Heisman favorite Miller at the quarterback position in 2014, but he suffered a season-ending injury before the year began. His replacement, the redshirt freshman Barrett, played himself into Heisman contender status before suffering an injury in the regular season finale against Michigan. Jones took over for the Big Ten Championship Game against Wisconsin, leading the Buckeyes to a 59-0 victory and a berth in the College Football Playoff. Jones and Ohio State beat Alabama and Oregon, winning their eighth national championship in school history.
A former three-star prospect out of Cleveland, Jones joined Ohio State in 2012 after spending a year at prep school. He redshirted his first season on campus, seeing spot action his second year in three games. After Miller and Barrett both went down, Jones completed 61.3 percent of his passes for 247.3 yards per game and six total touchdowns against three of the best defenses in the country.

I wouldn't believe a single thing Meyer would say about me playing next year if I was him.

That dude is not an NFL passer, period.
Disagree. He has all the tools, and was damn accurate throwing the ball. Made some tough throws too. He showed a great body of work against three of the best teams in the country, but doesn't have enough body of work to put himself in mid to early rounds. He has more accuracy than Newton had in college IMO.

So you guys think that a guy who Meyer designated as 3rd string at Ohio St will be drafted in a position to start in NFL. I doubt it. He throws with both feet planted and runs at will over small and slow college linemen, linebacker and dbs compared to the pros. I believe that he will get drafted but he is more of a project than starter.
That is exactly what he will be drafted as in the 5,6,7 round. Team will groom him for three years and then see id he's ready to take over. He clearly has the talent and is a gamer.

I'd bet $1000 he goes in first or second round.

Barrett was doing way better before he got hurt, even mentioned in heisman talk, so should he go pro?
He damn sure should go before Jones....
Jones has played 3 fricking games. If he gets in 3rd round, he'll make 250k. If he stays and get a in 1st round, he gets a 20 million dollar contract!
fricking stupid to go now. He must know Barrett will get the job back.
I can't believe the pros are having this conversation. He is no where near ready. He beat OREGON! Big fing deal

Adam Schefner just read a quote from Cardale Jones from 2 years ago where he said something like "I don't see why we have to go to class when we came here to play football". Given that was 2 years ago and maybe he has changed his mindset but I take that as he's leaving.

Dude he has the arm just like Jamarcus. The issue will be his learning the play book , and making pro reads. Most athletic quarterbacks are too lazy to learn the playbook and study film like a beast!
