he's a guy who can run when blocking breakdowns or coverage is tight.
Good at chunking it, but not good touch
he has 3 starts and showed good arm strength and play making ability if i was him i would leave while i have the opportunity to get taken rather than risk sitting on the bench and being forgotten

Still rather see Harris
Harris can be every bit as good as Barrett with the right development and system. He has as much talent, stronger arm and faster runner. He was simply a true freshman who never once got to redeem himself after one poor start. Barrett had a bad start at home with 3 ints and lost to VT but got to redeem himself at OSU.
I absolutely want Harris to be the guy and have the full trust from this staff to ball out.

Absolutely. He is the hottest thing going at QB right now and his lack of games may even benefit him. Especially if he grades out as a 3rd round or better.

He could be a 2-3rd rounder now with no pressure whatsoever on him to carry a franchise. Or come back and risk possible loss of playing time to Barrett who was ahead of him on depth, or even worse.. injury (see Miller on his own team).. or he could even hurt his stock by just lesser qb play in general.
Like I said. Arguments for both sides. He could slip to as late as 6th-7th as well and I don't think anyone would be surprised.

You can teach touch. You can't teach arm strength.

at 6'5" 250...and mobile(not duel threat)...and you are making this accusation from 3 games...note 3 very important games against high ranked teams?
vs Oregon 16-23 242yds and 1 td and 1int
vs bama 18-35 243 and 1 td and 1 int
vs wisconsin 12-17 for 257 yds and 3tds 0ints
thats pretty solid numbers for someones first 3 starts
did our qb even break 200 yards this year? maybe once...not to mention only 5 games with double digit completions...Cardell is alot better than people give credit for...with some work...he can be very very good

honestly in this circumstance draft position doesn't really matter he has the talent but lack of experience so when he gets taken even if its in the 7th round hes getting drafted for his raw potential not because he put up good numbers in college and a teams needs a safety net like many late round Qbs are used for

Braxton has had two shoulder surgeries and won't even be able to toss a ball in practice until the summer. I'm not sure how much help he could be in a brand new system.

That's just stupid. Just think how good LSU would be if the whole athletic department would just do what the rant says.

Smart money says leave. His stock wont go any higher than his three starts. Being a mid round pick is better than a first round. If he proves not to be a bust, he can play his way into a bigger second contract two years ahead than if he stayed. He isn't going to start from day 1, so why not learn under someone and make money instead of battling for a job and risk losing money.

Cardell looks a lot like Jamarcus Russell. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconPimp.gif)

Say he goes back to school and becomes a first round pick. Gets drafted in 2016 and plays well through his contract. NFL team picks up his 5th year on his rookie deal and he cant sign a second contract until 2021.
He leaves now and goes mid round. He sits behind a vet quarterback or plays and doesn't suck it up. Mid rounders are only guaranteed 4 year rookie contracts (if that). He could sign a second contract, which would presumably be larger, two years ahead of if he stays.

What is the obsession with Braxton Miller? He is not a better passer than what we have
Posted on 1/15/15 at 12:06 pm to SouljaBreauxTellEm
I totally agree and believe he is the future. Whatever "issues" he had with Miles and the rest of the staff will hopefully be ironed out.
If, as many say, his problems were self-inflicted, hopefully he grows up quickly.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
