Brandon Larson HR off Matt Andersen

1997 semis vs. Rice.
I always wanted to know how far did that sucker go. I mean that had everything going for it. 101 mile an hour fastball straight down the middle pitcher, a freakishly strong hitter, favorable winds.
I think there were tornadoes in the area. The foul poll was completely obsolete because that bomb was like 110 feet above the foul poll which is ridiculous. The ball just kind of disappeared and the empires waved it fair.
Brandon Larson gets overshadowed with all the freakish athletes that have come through LSU. His entire season was a hot streak.

I don't think any Lsu baseball fans are overlooking Brandon Larson lol

That ball never landed, it just disintegrated in the atmosphere. Andersen was the number one pick in the draft that year, right?

My bad. And to the other poster, It seems that Todd Walker is by far the most mention name when talking about past LSU baseball players.
That is sentimentality not production.
He seems to get more than the lion share of attention when talking about past LSU baseball greats. Don’t know why he never did shite in the pros to promote the legacy.
I knew he ended season with 40 HRs. Now I remember he was at 37 with two games left in the season. That one and two more in the final against Alabama

Todd Walker not productive? May want to go look at his numbers. Todd Walker had arguably the most productive career in LSU history.

did a hell of a lot more than Brandon Larson. Hit 5 homeruns in the playoffs for Boston in 2003.

trying not hijack but since Rice is involved, what year did Lance Berkman hit that bomb against us, only thing I remember was watching the ball leave the park thinking it wasnt landing until downtown

Walker did a lot more than steroid head Larson.

Didn’t he have like 40 homers as a shortstop?

Lyle Mouton's shot in the CWS was way further than Larson's

Except play for 12 years with a .289 career batting average and set the Red Sox club record for post season home runs. WTF are you talking about?

18 Homer's in the last 23 games... For one player. Good god those were the days.

Larson could never overcome injuries in pro ball. Still my favorite baseball Tiger, loved to watch him play.

Joey Belle hit more balls on to Nicholson than any players to come through the program. Ain’t even close
