Great interview. Harris is not only talented, but very mature, important at his position in particular. He's taking a very healthy approach to the QB competition. I know it's easy to get excited about a shiny new freshman toy, but with everything I've seen about him, it's hard not to. Can't wait to see him in action this fall!

From what I heard, entering the spring Jennings was way ahead as is expected. Then at a particular practice something seemed to just click for Harris and since then, it's been all Harris by a large margin. Do I think Harris starts against Wisconsin, probably not. I would think though that he would get atleast some PT especially if the offense struggles and by early to mid season I can see a gradual shift towards Harris becoming the full time QB.
Either way I'm excited to see how the situation unfolds.

I just don't see Miles throwing a true freshman out there as starter. He'll get his playing time for sure. I just see Jennings starting out of the gate.

Jennings seems to me like the guy that's more of a game manager which is what Miles will prefer this year. Jennings has had more time for the game to slow down, Harris only has practice above a high school level. If you go back and watch the Outback Bowl, I'd bet on seeing something similar for a while if Harris starts. Questionable decisions, slow to make decisions, leading to a lot of interceptions and sacks. And yes I'm aware Jennings was the INT/Sack machine in the spring game.

that's what the word around BR seems to be with people who know people on the team... who knows.

Pretty much. If some players are saying it then there has to be some merit to it.

Jennings threw 3 picks in the spring game and 2 were pick 6's. He never looked comfortable. Harris looked better overall and understood when to tuck it and run. Unlike Jennings from what I've seen so far with the exception of the 1 run vs Arky.

The host of the video at the end was wrong. Said Jennings is a redshirt sophomore, but he is actually a true Sophomore. Has exactly 1 year more than Harris in the program.

I however am also excited to see how this competition plays out. Competition will only bring out the best in these 2 guys and we shall see who wins the battle. Should be an interesting fall camp.

From what I've seen, Harris has way more "pocket presence" than Jennings. When Harris doesn't see anything down field, he takes off for positive yards.

When Jennings doesn't see anything down field, he keeps looking until he gets sacked.

That said, there is still room for improvement by Jennings, and I would not be shocked if he is named the starter.

Somehow I don't consider this a "game manager"...

Jennings is my guy but if Harris wins I'll be just as happy. We have it made to have a QB completion between two individuals like Harris and Jennings.

more than one season starting and a couple national titles. I'd say that is significantly more.

Gotta love everyone putting all their eggs in a basket based off the 1 part of Spring Practice that was public. You can always tell who is relatively new to college football.
