yep, i sit on row 11 in the north endzone. the flags were blowing with wind out of the north. at the same time, wind was hitting me in the face out of the south.

did you happen to notice the flags on top of the goal post and which direction they were blowing...

i'm not taking anything away from a spectacular punt just simply stating that on the field the wind was blowing the opposite direction.

A north wind is steady, no way does it flip around to the south. I was looking at the flags from the west upper. The spiral he put on it made it go like it did

Unless puts only go 15 feet off the ground then he was definitely kicking into the wind. And that spiral looked like a mett pass not A punt

His long punts looked like tee shots, they started low and fast and elevated later. Must have been putting tremendous spin on the ball in the long kicks.

He may be a huge factor in one or more LSU wins this year.

I asked about the wind changing because I sit in south section 406 (lower) and the wind was in my face all night...thankfully.

Wing will be drafted one day which is rare for a
punter

Most punters train themselves to punt the same way no matter the situation for consistency. Wing has the uncanny ability to execute the type of kick he needs when he needs it.

You're dead on with this NEZ. I don't recall another punter that punted that way. If his career keeps on the arc that it's on, he could end up revolutionizing punting. Punters that only kick one way will be like pitchers that can only throw a fast ball.

I just rewatched it and the flags in the NEZ were definitely blowing due south. If you were sitting in the NEZ, the wind could be rolling over the top of the stadium and hitting you in the face. But the wind out in the middle of the stadium (particularly where Wing was - at the far end) would be doing the same thing the wind above the stadium was doing. Wing kicked that ball into the wind, I'm as sure as I can be.
