#LSU will pay new OL coach Brad Davis an average of $830K per year in a 3-yr deal that brings the Louisiana native home.

It's an upgrade from the $650K he made at Arkansas, and more than the $700K former OL coach James Cregg was set to make this year.

Has to be one of the highest paid OL coaches in the country

I'm good with it. Based on the number of teams that were coming for him already, it took a good number to get him to leave Sam Pittman, and I think we'll see good dividends via both coaching and recruiting. He will not only be able to recruit OL but regionally will add to what we can do to recruit the SEC footprint due to his previous stops and relationships. Absolute homerun hire.

Probably helps that we don’t have to pay Cregg

Worth every penny if he can start bringing in elite OL recruits.

In the ultimate A&M move, they did come as close to a championship as you can get without ever actually competing for one.

Making that much and living in Baton Rouge is honestly like being paid 2 mil in a major city. Good for him

Where is there evidence that he's worth it?

What's he done at his last 3 stops to prove that he's worth it.

Please explain what SEC Champion OL's did he produce at Florida, Missouri and Arkansas.

He was the quick and easy hire for Lame Duck Orgeron to get in here without having to conduct a national search for a great OL coach with skins on the wall. (Championships)

At this late date, nobody is coming here to a "Win Big in 2021 or hit the Road" scenario.

#48 from right here in BR, so O just took the path of least resistance here.

I'm still waiting to hear a "Still committed to LSU and on the Way" statement from Bordelon and Taylor (2022 OL committs) in lieu of the Campbell reaffirmation.

You must be fun at parties. Why is it that being optimistic is so hard for so many Tiger fans? It’s like you want us to fail.
