Are we comparing an all American one of the best Tigers, and JT right now? Cresse did far more in his season that year than JT has done in 3. He’s literally an all time tiger. He deserved to be out there, he adapted. JT has done no such thing.

Cresse was an All-American senior batting 0.388 and with a 0.490 OBP.
Thompson wasn't even SEC Honorable mention and is batting 0.244 and 0.366 OBP. Cresse's BA was higher than Thompson's on base percentage. Not even close to a good comparison.

Welp, if Thompson hits the game winning hit, then you will have made a somewhat reasonable comparison. If he doesn’t, then you will surely be humiliated. Because the argument is predicated on what Cresse did. Which was hit the game winner.
