Counting the games we won, yes. The season, no. We had two HCs and two OCs that season.

yeah the "coach O has rebuilt the lines" line has never actually been proven.

You generally expect the offense to improve, not get worse. That happens when you're one dimensional
better than no dimensional like 2018

Just having Lawrance and Fehoko playing their natural positions would be a huge benefit. Great play at the nose tackle position is our biggest question mark on defense I believe. Great play there has us in the running for top defense in college football imo.
Just a prediction but it is good to see LSU on the list again.
24/7's 10 nastiest defensive lines in college football for 2019
1. AUBURN TIGERS
2. MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS
3. LSU TIGERS
4. CLEMSON TIGERS
5. UTAH UTES
6. IOWA HAWKEYES
7. ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE
8. NOTRE DAME
9. IOWA STATE
10. GEORGIA BULLDOGS
3. LSU TIGERS
Defensive end Rashard Lawrence was the defensive MVP for LSU in its Fiesta Bowl win over UCF to end last season, and then the senior decided to return to Baton Rouge for his final year of college eligibility. That is part of the reason why LSU will field one of the most formidable defensive lines in 2019. Junior Glen Logan and senior Breiden Fehoko also tout starting experience, and they will likely see the majority of the snaps at the other defensive end spot. The nose tackle duties could fall to sophomore Tyler Shelvin again. Shelvin could be challenged by freshman early enrollee Siaki Ika, who joined the Tigers as a 247Sports Composite four-star recruit. LSU will also get back talented pass rusher K'Laivon Chaisson. He was lost to injury in last year's season opener, and the redshirt sophomore will occupy the buck spot if he returns to form. LSU coach Ed Orgeron will have many talented options to rely on, and that's bad news for LSU opponents.
Free 24/7 article - TURN DOWN SPEAKERS - Lots of good options to choose from, but @247Sports has #LSU all the way up in the top three among CFB programs

Was he running the program in the way he wanted to or not in 2016?

Part of the year, yes.
Not all of it.
I have no problem with asterisks beside interim seasons.
What's your stance? Or do you have one?

after the burrow transfer i thought the team was good enough to win the west.
LSU had 3 players returning on offense who had started before. They lost two of them - one to injury and one to the legal system before the season started. But LSU got another offensive player who had never started in Jeaux Burreaux and you expected to win the West.
That is why you are so miserable. You have unrealistic expectations.

i hope you're right but last year our dline wasnt good. it was our worst opponents ypc in a while. thats a direct reflection of the dline not commanding the attention of the oline

Now I know why you're so confused all the time.

"Part" is a little misleading, wouldn't you agree? He coached more than double the games Miles did, and still retains the same coordinators that he used that season.

I've made my stance perfectly clear. Count it all the time or don't count it ever. Don't cherry pick the good parts of it and try to ignore the bad.

Quote from your god before last season...
quote:
LSU may be void of an experienced or highly ranked quarterback as well as an experienced or highly ranked tailback, but it may have something as or more important — a talented and deep offensive line. '
"We can play deep," LSU coach Ed Orgeron said this week as spring practice opened. "We can use a rotation to stay fresh."
So did he have unrealistic expectations as well?

Who is?
You asked about the season and I said the games he actually coached. I'll give O 6-2.

Oh this is another thread where yall decide to ignore the interim games. It always changes, especially with you.
We've been told by the haters that we had to ignore them. Is it okay to count the six wins now?

“ I want O to be successful”
All LSU fans want this. It’s a hell of a lot better celebrating wins and championships then moaning and pissing over failures no matter the name of the head coach.
“Florida and A&M losses were bad.”
Going 1-2 vs Florida with the problems that program has had is disturbing. Hopefully, that will change this season in Tiger Stadium.
Out record did improve this season. I see no reason it shouldn’t improve again in 2019.
