LSU's offensive line graded out as a top 5 unit in 2015, by the way.

they really should do these grades based on strength of opponent. We manhandled teams that sucked and sucked against good teams.

yeah the "coach O has rebuilt the lines" line has never actually been proven. just spouted off.

I agree with that, though that could change this season

But so is the "win immediate championships" thing.

When did it become unacceptable to lose two road games in the SEC to ranked teams?

When your coach is in year 3 and they both just fired their coaches and were supposedly rebuilding seems like that time.

texas, ms state (got smoked there two years ago) and bama are really hard places to play. you really think two losses on the road is crazy to expect?

LSU is currently underdogs in two road games. So, those.

PFF, who graded them as a top 5 unit, does just that.

Les' last full year was 5-3 in the SEC. O's last year was 5-3 in the SEC.

Are things slightly better now than Les' last few years - yes

THANK YOU !!!! Isn't that the point and subject of this thread?

How were you sold on this? From the coach saying he expected LSU to play for championships? Did he say immediately?

You can't be so naïve that you would even think this was going to happen immediately can you? I thought I was an Eaux fan. You got me beat by a mile.

I must admit though that when I saw LaCouture play every snap of the game against Mississippi State in 2017 I knew that LSU had the talent and depth to win it all that year.

And when two true freshmen - Charles and Ingram HAD to start on the Oline in 2017. I said the astonishing wealth of depth on the Dline doesn't even matter. When a team has to have 2 true freshmen on the Oline if they don't win the NC there is something wrong.

At the beginning of the season it was a great offense. At the end of the season it was average, with a worsening passing game

You generally expect the offense to improve, not get worse. That happens when you're one dimensional

I want O to be successful. The Florida and A&M losses were bad. The SEC record isn't an upward trend. We need consistency, a killer instinct. Even losing one of those might have been acceptable. But both—no. Shouldn't have happened.

Excited for this year.

so 11 wins or bust? O supporters are beating their chests, i just want to know what the new expectations are? or are there any?

I'm just going by likely favorite. I don't remember the line for Texas, but I think we are a slight favorite. This team should be favored against every team not named Bama so my expectation is we go 11-1. What's yours?

you really have a problem with math...ive noticed all the haters do. O was hired to be the HC in november of 2016. 2017 was his first season, 2018 was his second season. 2019 will be his 3rd...it really isn't that difficult to comprehend

i would say 10-2. bama is a loss until proven otherwise. i think they lose to either texas or ms state on the road. should win all the home games.

No I don't. The interim season is counted when it's convenient for some of you. Just like every other thread, I want some consistency. Either count it every time, or don't count it ever.

No shite. Be consistent.
