As long as you count the bedshitting against UF and the terrible offense against any team with a pulse on defense, sure.
Count it all or count nothing.

wait...
you think O publicly predicts lsu will be a playoff team knowing he didnt have the players to get there?
you confuse everyone with your retarding

There have been some big lows (some as interim coach) - losing to Troy at home, the worst loss ever to Mississippi State, losing the Florida hurricane game at home while blowing a chance at the Sugar and getting shut out twice to Bama at home (29-0 was really bad).
But getting Burrow and blowing out UGA at home, winning 10 again and winning the Fiesta were highlights (and I do feel the refs gave aTm the game on that catch, run and fumble they called an incomplete pass). But this is the year where he will prove that he is either similar to Miles in the later years or able to challenge for the SEC with a deep and talented team.

I think it's coach speak. Like when Miles predicted his best offensive line ever and it was shite.
But you can remain in ignorance if you want. It's entertaining.

youre the same poster that didnt want to give Herman credit for his 1st season as HC at houston because it wasnt his team but then touts 2 interim tenures for O.
just be consistent

show me another coach in cfb that says they are going to be a playoff team next year. not challenge for the playoffs but be a playoff team.
thats not coach speak.

and was bashed. youre just not wanting to do the same for O.

You generally expect the offense to improve, not get worse. That happens when you're one dimensional
better than no dimensional like 2018
I wonder why? Here's the recruiting classes that provided the upperclassmen on the 2018 offense:
2015:
Foster Moreau TE - Solid player
Brandon Martin WR - swing and a miss
Derrick Dillon WR - contributor, but passed on depth chart by Jefferson and Chase
Toby Weathersby - Gone
C. Valentine-Okeke OL - swing and a miss
Lanard Fournette RB - Provided depth only
Tyron Johson WR - Gone
George Brown OL - Swing and a miss
Darrius Guice RB - Stud but gone to the NFL
Bry'Kiethon Mouton RB - Swing and a miss
Justin McMillan QB - Swing and a miss
Adrian Magee OL - Provided depth only
Jazz Ferguson WR - Swing and a miss
Maea Teuhema OL - Gone
Hanner Shipley OL - Swing and a miss
Nick Brossete RB - Starter, but down compared to last many years at LSU for RB
2016:
Lloyd Cushenberry C - Solid Starter
Lindsey Scott QB - Swing and a miss
Willie Allen OL - Swing and a miss
Drake Davis WR - Swing and a miss
Stephen Sullivan WR - Contributor, but passed on depth chart by Jefferson and Chase
Jakori Savage OL - Swing and a miss
Jamal Pettigrew TE - Hopefully becomes a contributor at TE this year but Sullivan is moving to TE
Donavaughn Campbell OL - Provides depth only
Dee Anderson WR - contributor, but has been passed on depth chart by Jefferson and Chase

not a good enough excuse for mid majors shutting us down.
not a good enough excuse for 7 ganes under 400 yards of offense.
had this been he last regime yoid be bashing them but since its a ckach you lkke youre perfectly fine having a shite offense
Posted on 5/14/19 at 10:55 am to Rickdaddy4188
You can't even field and offense with those classes.

3 and 4 loss seasons.....same as Les Miles' bad years.
False. Miles' bad years were 5 loss seasons. His last two three loss seasons were his BEST seasons over the last six years. And those three losses included arse-whippings by teams other than Bama.
O's last season was better than any Miles season since 2012.

bullshite.
its amazing that you think we shouldnt have better production against Southeastern than every other Southland conference team.
watching you defend that shite is glorious.
we just dont have the offensive talent that other Southland conference teams have

Of course it's coach speak.
It's no where near a "promise" like the rantards think. He wanted to instill confidence in his more senior players, like Clapp.

link me to any other coach in cfb saying there team will be a playoff team
other coach's have to say it for it to be coach speak dumbass
saban doesnt even say it and his team has been in every single playoff.
you dont instill confidence in a team by PUBLICLY predicting an unattainable goal.
again show me any other cfb coach making this prediction.
you cant

“ you think O publicly predicts”
I’m afraid anyone using coach O’s statements as some kind of barometer for season success is simply lining themselves up for disappointment. If I recall correctly, Coach O pushed our OL as being something special last season. According to many who post here, it was a major weakness on the football team.
To be fair, most coaches are all sunshine and happiness in their preseason mode.

Bingo.

if lsu was in a supposed rebuild....
coach o didnt think so.
are saying coach o isnt a good judge of talent?
No, why would you even ask? Is your other self whispering to you?
I have no problem in a coach being confident and trying to show faith in his team.
I was responding to a person who said we were sold on immediate championships. If a poster on here states he is going to win the lottery tonight is he going to be criticized for promising and getting everyone sold on him winning the lottery and not actually doing it?
Or will the rational people with half a brain consider the odds of a poster on TR winning the lotto and take it with a grain of salt? Just like a person with half a brain could look at LSU having to play a Dlineman for every snap of a game, having to start two true freshmen on the Oline and the lack of a 3-4 nose tackle and take the coach's motivational comments with a grain of salt.

youd have us believe that lsu doesnt have the offensive talent that INCARNATE WARD has?
get the frick outta here with your excuses. they don't work against mid majors and shite teams.

so O clearly thought he had the talent to IMMEDIATELY challenge for titles.
either O is a liar or is bad at evaluating talent.
which one are you picking?
again.... there are zero examples of a another cfb coach publicly saying they are going to be a playoff team.
