But I will say for continuities sake, Orgeron won't like 3 off seasons in a row installing a "new" offense.

Tough shite!

Hard decisions come with being the HC. No one likes change, but change is needed if you want to win!

Miles was fired for not beating Bama, piss poor offense, not winning the west, not winning the SEC. LSU just settled miles buyout, you think if CEO has another 9 win season and offense ranked 90th or worse that LSU wont entertain firing him and his 6MM buyout?

What about how the offense performed in regulation? We had several 3rd and outs in the 2nd half and couldn't convert a 3rd and short that would've iced the game.

I would argue the first half was much worse than the second. Play calling was and will continue to be shite. 10/10 times I would have taken our defense to close out the game over our offense on the field to win it. Our defense didn't do that. Its not blame, its just facts.

I was shocked how poorly DBU performed in the last minute minutes and throughout the OT periods.

Really? I would venture to guess that O doesn't give a rat's arse about what you think. Get over it and quit acting like a child. We could be where Tennessee is right now! I've seen those days and they weren't fun

it wasn't Saturday. In fact, it was pretty creative to work around a non existent running attack most of the game.

Creative?

Designed qb runs is being creative?
QB scrambles is creative?

Lets say the offense was lights out, it does not mask the fact it was piss poor all season! Looking at 1 game and not the entire body of work is setting yourself up for failure!

You are right on! But of course you will have these people that don't agree for their crazy reasons and say you don't know what you're talking about when it is that plain and simple. The offense sucks, Ensminger lied about a wide open offense or else that is his version of a wide open offense. LOL I'm just tired of watching a boring run based LSU offense that still continues to do everything based off the run even though the RB's this season were just par for the course. The defense also left some to be desired and Aranda is not worth 2.5 mil a season, should have let him go to A&M if Fisher wanted him, they're a lot of good DC's out there.

To LSU fans, yes

We get excited when we see the wildcat, when Arkansas was doing that in 2006

What were the defense's statistics at the end of regulation? That is the key. In a war of attrition that is college football overtime, teams will trade punches until one team makes ONE fatal defensive mistake or one offense makes ONE fatal mistake.

Perhaps, and only perhaps, the yardage statistics for overtime be kept somehow differently. We have more than a few ignorant fans posting ....."nothing wrong with the offense, we scored 72 points...defense was at fault, they gave up 74." Understand if EITHER team makes that stop or that mistake earlier, your point is moot; which, of course, it already is.

Again, how did the defense perform in regulation. Once OT starts, there is a short field with one, perhaps two possible first downs. Advantage offense.

Absolutely. You go with what works, which is what the Tigers did.

The defensive line was a brick wall.

Offense is not SOLELY to blame for the loss, but it played a part.

1. We were GREAT on first down, but awful on second down quite often. Real head scratcher.

2. In one of the OT periods, A&M was held to a FG. LSU had first down near the 10, but did not try a single pass into the end zone. One catch in the end zone wins it. Should have shown some guts there.

Other than that, hard to put a

Burrow’s pass that was batted in the last OT was gonna be money to Dee Anderson, he lost the DB.

Looking at burrow’s reaction after it was batted he knew it was over.

You realize half of burrows runs (29), were not designed runs, right? That was a player laying it all out, scrambling when the pass wasn't there. That's not an offense (OC), being creative. Hats off to Joe, but if you want to sugar coat a turd offense, be my guest.

The fact that you're a year late to the party is part of the problem with this program. The fan base is always slow to react because they're naturally optimistic when they should be cautious, apprehensive, cynical and yes, even pessimistic.

It's been 11 years now of this offensive ineptitude. When a fan base is quick to anger and can read the writing on the walls it puts pressure on those in charge to not make risky decisions that may or may not pan out. You know, like hiring Les Miles' tight end coach who hasn't coached an offense since Bill Clinton was President, to run the offense at LSU. Fan bases that demand Excellence don't allow shite like that to happen.

Hell, even lowly and pathetic Tennessee managed to get their AD to rip up a head coaching offer and start his search over. Meanwhile, LSU's weak, pathetic, castrated fanbase allows dicknose Joe to exclaim, "I am the search! "

I agree that Ensminger needs to go. Play calling has always been bad, but it was especially terrible Saturday night.

In all honesty Avella needs to go first to start turning this thing around.

Orgeron and Ensminger just need time to gel together. Give them 3 more years together and they will work it out. Patience is a virtue.

We lost the game because we lack the balls to pass it more than once in a row on three critical drives in regulation. That's on Ensminger and nobody else.

Forget the points. There's no correlation between OT and having an aggressive offensive game plan.
