But, let me ask, what makes everyone so confident that a team with an adequate defense and awesome passing offense(Boise, Stanford, OU, Oklahoma St) couldn't beat LSU(team with awesome defense but only adequate offense?)

Can admins just ban stupid people like the OP?

Signed, Steelers vs. Patriots last week.
So since one elite passing attack on the road only threw for 200 yards against an elite difference that is the trend?
Why didn't you sign that Rodgers vs Steelers in the Super Bowl? Wouldn't you agree that is become more of the trend.

Do you realize you made a boo boo here yet? The problem could be that either you don't know football or you can't differentiate between video games and reality.

You are aware that both Offenses were destroying other teams prior to facing each other right?
The avg margin of victory for both teams was insane.
Unless you consider almost 40 points a game as pitiful.

I just think you're dumb. Even discussing the NFL is dumb.

LSU and Bama have put up about 40 on every other opponent they played. Average defenses allow our offenses to score a lot more while our great defenses shut down other offenses.
This isn't rocket surgery.

And don't give me this "great defenses beat good offenses nonsense." If that were the case, the NFL wouldn't be becoming such an offensive game. With a good quarterback, there is just no way to cover all receivers regardless of how great a defense is.
I didnt know we scheduled the Saints this year
These are the two greatest defenses in CFB and they can shut down any offense in the NCAA. Yes both offenses looked terrible because they could barely gain an inch on what was basically two NFL defenses
It was great defense not bad offense. Look at the big plays, Mos interception was a great play on the ball, Reid interception was an insane play on the ball, no defense can get the type of pressure that those two teams did. Both QBs had sbout 2 seconds to throw every time and no open recievers
Just because its not frickin Oklahoma or okie state scoring a thousand ponts doesnt mean its a bad thing, now go learn something about football and STFU

You my friend, are fricking retarded.

they were bad, but you must understand how the defense and tempo dictated the gameplans you saw.

What teams could take advantage of the weaknesses you saw in each team last night? Just because they each looked beatable against the best team each has played all year, what makes you think that there are similarly talented teams elsewhere that could actually take advantage of the perceived shortcomings?
I'll address this, since it's not dripping with homerism. What makes me think that is the fact that the passing offenses were so useless. Regardless of how good a pass defense is, a great quarterback(Luck, Moore, Jones) will be able to complete passes a reasonable amount of times. They can throw receivers open. Both teams passing games were useless. A testament to the defenses, yes. But only the biggest of SEC homers think that those were two top 5 offenses getting shut down.
To quote Dennis Dodd: This sets up a clash of styles. Why can't the SEC recruit quarterbacks. Why can't the Big 12 find a d-tackle to save its life?
I do not argue that we are the

Do you remember the first 8 games these teams have played? Scoring 35+ points per game?
Of course it was the great defenses that controlled the game. But, as been proven, against other defenses, these offenses score a lot of points.

I think Bama had alot to do with how LSU'S o looked last night. Could Okie State move the ball on lsu?? Sure, But could Okie st. come close to stopping LSU???? NO.

Those teams could be LSU, but LSU has better athletes every where. Our offense looked pathetic against far and away the best D we can face. Have you seen the other games we've played?

Yeah, by an NFL team, that's about it.

Here's an interesting question for the OP.
Did Ohio State and Michigan both look very beatable in 2006 after that 42-39 game?
