I was always told that's the reason for no Evangel players for a decade or so. He called an Evangel play for Abram to run. Saban lit into them both in front of the entire team and their family. Booty's Dad was coach at Evangel still. No more Evangel players to LSU. Could be bullshite though.

when Booty graduated high school lsu didn't have any nfl talented quarterbacks, but when booty decided to later come to lsu there were 2 nfl talented quarterbacks here.

I am not saying Josh Booty was that good, but the hate he got is ridiculous. He was 1st team all sec, 1st team.

A lot of it goes back to that one play vs Alabama.
The LSU fan base isn't that much different than it was then. They never forgave him for that one play.

I attended a game when I came down to visit family and saw JB's family get the absolute shite treatment from fans.

Then fans get pissed when players from certain schools seem to shun lsu. It can sometimes be the fans faults from years before.

You guys are mixing up the issues here.
Unfortuantely, it happens too much on this board.
Some fans seem to hate players who don't play well, regardless of whetehr they are say, nice people. Some of these same folks engage in worshipful respect to those who play well, but are jerks.
And these are OUR players!
Josh may have been All-Galaxy, but not have been a very nice guy...
We don't boo them or mistreat their family in either case.

Grossman was a freshman and split snaps with the bachelor.
Lorenzen was freshman and threw more INTs than TDs.
Carter was dogshit his last year at UGA.
