Still jealous of Wade since he overshadowed your daddy’s popularity. You actually wanted LSU baseball to fail when Paul was waist deep in mediocrity due to your daddy’s failure. I bet you are so happy he is backs. You’re likely the reason he is out bc you gobbled so hard on his balls that you put him in the hospital.

To an extent.
Context still matters… Timing, available assistants, available transfers, etc.
Like I expect football to have a good year, but I definitely also expect this offseason to be less chaotic which will likely benefit year 2+

might have to go thru a tough year but with the high school recruits he's had on visits so far the future is bright
and if none of these players are cleared you can save that NIL $ for next season
Trendon Watford and Derek Queen were at the LSU tailgate for recruits last week

We've seen through recent years new coaches come in, build a roster from scratch (10+ transfers) and win immediately. Just one example, Bucky McMillian was hired on April 5th ahead of last season (Wade was hired on 3/26 this year). McMillian had no returning players from the prior year, yet went 21-10 (11-7) T-3rd in the SEC. We've also seen guys come in an immediately have a great year like Jerome Tang (elite 8) only to tank in year two. Same for Gates at Mizzou.
The point is basketball roster are truly year to year. Increase in success isn't always linear. So I don't think having expectations of AT LEAST a NCAAT appearance and a win or two this season is unreasonable. That's just the nature of the sport now

quote:Maybe we'll find out this season now the the AD and administration will have enough backbone to let him coach his teams in the postseason instead of bowing down to allegations from media hacks.
Is he destined to be a good coach that wins a lot of regular season games, but whose teams are never balanced enough to win at the highest level in the postseason? Or, will he now start to take that next step?
