I live up here, and follow the okie schools closely...

OUs defense better step up and hit hard if they want any chance to beat the pokes without Ryan Broyles...

That guy gouged teams and soaked the double teams off the TEs, kenny stills and jaz reynolds

OU will be hard pressed to win this year

Well since Iowa State pounded them I guess this whole thread is moot.

And Boone Pickens is a bully and always has been. Greenmailer is correct and I read his book back in the 80s regarding this. Just money pushing people around. Grundy got his arse handed to him in a basket and OU is going to do it to him as well. See how little Boone likes that.

I think OU will probably win, but they laid an egg and lost to a Texas Tech team as well. This was a weird sitution for Okie State. Weird Friday night conference game on the road on a day when their athletic department suffered a horrific tragedy. I'd be careful judging them strictly based on last night. Hell, if they beat OU, they could still wind up in the NCG.

It was more pointed at Boone Pickens. And I watched the game and double overtime but Iowa State handed it to a team they weren't supposed to.

It really doesn't help OU that they lost. Probably hurt them more than anyone else. But I don't think a one loss OSU team makes the championship.

And yes it was tragic the crash. That should put a game into perspective. It's all still just a game.

Fair enough, I haven't read the thread.

Yeah, Iowa State really owned them toward the end of the game.

No, it doesn't. But I'm not sure it hurts as much as you think.

I think they might. They'd be a conference champion whereas Bama wouldn't. And playing us would avoid a rematch. And their win over OU would likely be better than any win Bama or Oregon have. And the computers love the Big 12 this year.

I wasn't suggesting you didn't already feel this way. I'm just saying it was a weird situation and I think OSU is better than that. I do wonder if they voters might take this into consideration when splitting hair between OSU and Oregon and Bama.
