It's Booger. Well, if Moffit is the problem WHY doesn't coach genius see it and fix it?

yeah seems we get all these videos of individual players benching /powerlifting/squatting outrageous numbers only to have them dominated by good defenses or offenses. Seems LSU players are soft. Once punched in the mouth they seem to go soft or get dominated. IS that moffit or the players them selves?

Shocking!!!!

Booger pimped hard for O Just like Spears did and that's why neither of them will ever criticize him.

DL is soft, no depth, unmotivated??

Blame Moffit instead of the guru that has been in charge of that unit for four years now

Have to hand it to him, this media shield that O cooked up with Prince is pretty damn effective.

Going to keep those fat checks rolling in until the wheels completely fall off

Interesting. Tell the Truth Wednesday evidently.

They should be able to put weight on Brennan. He looks like he hasn't gained a pound though. I've seen in church twice lately. Looks great. Great kid. Will be a great QB. He has to get physically stronger

It seems there needs to be more emphasis on explosiveness. Particularly linemen and OLB's.

Some tough question at the end of the season about Staff. Change is tough.

Like the post and it covers where alot of the blame for the Bama loss lies. Like I said many times, it's a team loss and reasons for it are everywhere. I also believe that in order to be physically able to progress to a much higher level of execution we MUST address the s and c program. It takes a higher level of athleticism to get where we need to be to be ssuccessful at the highest level. We have a long way to go to get there and it will take a firm commitment to get there.

the dline played well until they were tired

Be honest????

Alabama had almost 350 yards BEFORE HALFTIME.

Yes we mostly kept them out of the end zone but our defense we being abused from the opening snap.

That’s obviously mostly on Aranda because O doesn’t really do any game planning anyway, but O sure as frick is responsible for the DL play because it’s the one fricking thing he’s supposed to have any knowledge about.

Pretending that one unit “played well”, even early, in a game where we couldn’t slow them down all night and they put up almost SIX HUNDRED yards on us is a fricking joke and you should be embarrassed for trying to make the argument

My whole life whenever Moffitt's name was mentioned....it was just an understanding that everyone in the room acknowledged that he was an amazing strength coach. But why is that? Is he? I'm not saying he's not, what he is responsible for directly correlates to physicality in the trenches. And we get our arse whooped by Alabama every year. So maybe it's time for a new guy? Or at least a deeper assessment into our team's strength and conditioning development

He was - I have no idea if he is still. His coaching tree (meaning his protégés) definitely still are.

There was a point in time where a team won a national title about 4 years after Moffit arrived 3 schools in a row. That says something. But that ended over 10 years ago now.

I have no idea what is going on here, but I suspect it's partly due to a lack of a serious OLB/edge rushing threat.
We had one less sack in the first two games than the last 7 combined. Only thing that changed was Chaisson.

We're not quite a Brick Haley levels but for a team coached by a DL coaching guru, our DL is definitely a disappointment.

1) The Bama players look more solid... not bigger/taller, but just put together better, and that's on both the preseason Strength and conditioning and the in-season strength and conditioning. Only a few LSU players looked as solid (or maybe the word is mature). Moffit?

2) Bama lines play with better leverage. I don't know if that's strictly their intrinsic talent, another nod to their strength and conditioning or if they're developed in some magical way by Saban and staff to stay balanced, bend at the hips and keep their pad level lower than the competition.

It's amazing/inexplicable that their D-Line is SOOOO much better than EVERYONE else's offensive line... Not just LSU but EVERYBODY'S talent. It's truly inexplicable that the talent in major college football can be so different for one team.

And all these observations will go out the f'cking window when Alabama is fighting for their f'ucking lives against Clemson like every year.

IT'S THE COOOOACHING, that I can hardly understand every second word that comes out of his stupid cajun mouth.

If Moffitt is an issue, what is the disconnect between him and bamas SC who he mentored? Is he lazy, did Cochran evolve?

Maybe shorter practices have softened our players up.

You can say what you will about Les Miles, but you never used to say that his players weren't tough and physical.

Clemson has had the same if not better production from their D lines in the same span. OK St and Ohio St are up there most years as well. It's not just Bama. It's a combination of S&C/Coaching/Motor

I agree with Bugger 100%. Development plays a huge part on why they are bigger and stronger. Being a 5* recruit is only a starting point once you get on campus.

Even though it's true, you will get down voted for one simple reason... Dude you can't talk about moffit here...

Let me translate. The coaching staff and especially Moffit are letting our linemen get too fat and out of shape.

It's called HGH. Most people have no clue how drug testing is actually done. If the University themselves are not trying to catch the cheaters, then the NCAA has no chance. Most athletes are not even tested by the NCAA. They have to test all sports so most football players are not tested by the NCAA.
