LSU, which finished the season 10-2 was interestingly ranked #15 by Nebraska HC Bo Pelini, who was a DC at LSU from 2005-2007.

Where did he rank Nebraska? #8. Nebraska finished the regular season 9-3. No one else had Nebraska in the top #10. :whatanidiot:
The complete coaches rankings can be found here, FWIW

This is why coaches are no more qualified to vote than you and I.

Bo Pelini thought LSU was overrated, but oddly enough had his team which finished 9-3 in the Big 12 at #8. Absolutely no sense of loyalty to the school that landed him the HC job in the first place.

Great link, I forgot the final ballots were public. Saban, Jimbo Fisher, and Larry Porter all voted LSU #10.

They finished the season 10-3, not 9-3 and won their division.

They played an extra conference title game AFTER finishing the season 10-2.

LSU did not play like a top 10 team much of the year.

The SEC West is likely the toughest division in the country, but it's not as strong as some people want to make it out to be. People don't realize how shitty the East was. If not for that, we don't have 5 West teams ranked. PERIOD.

Dan Mullen (Miss St) had LSU #8 and Todd Berry (ULM) had LSU 9th. Maybe they want special consideration if or when CLM leaves.

Hey Idaho coach Robb Akey, I don't know what you have against LSU (#16), but why don't you bring your team to Tiger Stadium and visit some time. I'm sure you'll be welcomed warmly

If I'm not mistaken, Nebraska played heavyweights Washington for their non-conference game. They also played Idaho, Western Kentucky, and South Dakota State.

And then they had the tough Big 12 North to deal with. and they finished 10-3 (I made a mistake).

I am still not buying that they are #8.

Their division is a joke, two of the teams finished with a winning record. Uconn won the Big East, does this mean they should be ranked ahead of LSU?

LOL, it is hands down the toughest division in the nation. Please give me an example that even comes close. The SEC as a whole has 10 teams bowl eligible. The Big 2 has 8 bowl eligible teams.

You're point?

It's a fricking poll. If LSU didn't want to be ranked low by some people, don't play like utter shite against bad teams and have some semblance of an offense.

LSU easily could have been 7-5. Nebraska lost 3 but had very few close games. They may have played a weaker schedule, but unlike LSU they won impressively in most games. They didn't struggle against basically everyone.

Ron Zook with TCU at #6 - But he's likely more correct than everyone else.

Nevada and South Carolina have large standard deviations.

Just re-read my post to get my point, dumbass.

and it's your. not you are. But why must this surprise me, after all when you hijack this thread and every other thread to invariably lead to the coaching staff and Les Miles?
