This isn't your Father's Tiger Stadium anymore .... For a number of reasons ....

1. Radio days are gone, forever ....
2. TAF, Tradition fund, ticket prices change the dynamic of who can and cannot pay and consequently who shows up and who stays....

Time keeps on slippin into the future!

I'll admit I wasn't really that pumped up for the game....but did he really compare the AU game to one of the most hyped up games in TS history?

this makes sense to anyone? we wait for 7 dates out of 365 and then we act like this when they are here?

Exactly. It is almost like LSU success has made going to Tigers games like a social scene:

Do the tailgate,
Sit and be seen in your seats,
Complain about something (weather,traffic,offense,defense,etc),
Leave at halftime,
repeat.

I know being an established team versus an up and coming team has something to do with it. Its expectations.

That may be true, but I just do not understand. I want to win every game, every year so I help my team by screaming my arse off. I am no less excited now than I was during the 2003 season. Maybe it was my years at LSU from 89-94 that will make me a rabid fan forever.

Could be. Those old enough to remember those dark years appreciate EVERY Tiger victory.

The tailgating has become the primary event for a lots of people with the game becoming secondary.

This could not be more true.

I can understand someone who goes strictly to see a good game leaving a boring game at halftime. I don't understand the people that take off of work on Friday to prepare for the game, tailgate from early morning until kickoff, and then stop in to the stadium for a quarter or two.
