You can see him slowing to make the tackle then he suddenly excelerates when pushed. It was a bad call.

If you've played football, you would know what being "barely touched on the back" can actually do to you...

8 pages of whining. Good job LSU fans. Way to represent a great performance by your team and coach.

So are you whining about the whining?

Great contribution btw. Everyone in the SEC should be sick of the crap officiating that we're given week after week.

This thread, by the fans, doesn't change our great performance at all.

A) Eat a bag a dick. A whole bag of 'em.

B) Pointing out blatantly bad calls is not a bad thing. In fact, as a fan of NOT BAMA, I'd suggest you and ALL SEC fans be interested in holding the SEC Officials feet to the fire when they do a shitty job. Glossing over bad calls helps no one, unless you're a BAMA fan...then that's suggestion every Monday. No thanks...when they do a horrendous job it needs to be pointed out by all.

C) See A)

I really wanted to congratulate LSU on a great game, Fournette literally killed us and should win the Heisman

But wow, thank goodness UF got all of the calls and LSU was so heavily penalized, otherwise it would have been really bad.

To be fair, every fan base including ours has fans that whine about every call. but really, they're just snivelers

Whining about refs watching the game instead of officiating is not really whining. Honestly, if I was officiating that game I would have easily given each at least 2 or 3 more penalties, and UF would have gotten castrated by penalties.

I'm not saying I am a good ref by any means, but thats how bad those refs were.

No one gives a shite.

Are you defending the no call on that play?

You have terrible reading comprehension. You've still yet to actually address the content of the OP. You're literally whining about people "whining". Do you think the game was called perfectly?

And lsu doesn't need your congratulations for our great win.

Way to represent the gators in the most Gainesville way possible.

The only reason I pointed these out and made this thread is because both calls resulted in scoring points (or lack of) in the 4th quarter of a top 10 SEC matchup.

I wanted to highlight this. Dupre doesnt get mugged and you have a TD without having to resort to a Fake FG (maybe) and the punt return TD (maybe) doesnt happen. Two obvious non-calls that if they were in a tighter game or happened later in the 4th quarter could have altered the outcome of a top 10 matchup.

At the 33 he suddenly moves faster which carries him pat the returner. At full speed hard to tell for the ref but on replays it seems obvious.

14 pt swing

Didn't we score a TD on the fake punt [eta i meant FG] the next play after the no-PI-call?

Eta: yes, you point that out later, so how was it a swing? Whatever, we won and overall didn't get ref-raped.

fake punt

Yes, but it was a fake FG, not punt, doesn't change the fact that 2 non-calls affected 2 scoring plays (the 14-pts I'm talking about) regardless of what happened after

You can break down each play of a game and find 1-2 penalties

the first one was OBVIOUS block in the back, albeit a PUSH, it was still illegal interference on the play and the LSU defender had a play to make against the ball carrier, it wasn't inconsequential.

the other two were debatable no calls.

"good no call"

Really.... just a little push in the BACK took him out of the play. What's the penalty called? Oh, "Block in the back"

Officiating was horrible.

This....

The game is played in real time by really fast people. The referees are required to often times run full speed and make a split second judgement call on maybe 25 to 50 plays a game. Each of the 8 officials on the field are exhaustively evaluated on their performance after every game. If they are not up to snuff, they no longer can continue to officiate on the SEC level. These are the best of the best and I guarantee you that none of us could do half as good.

They shouldn't miss an unobstructed back in the back on a punt where the player extends his call. Pretty simple

Especially if they are the "best of the best". A hs official shouldn't miss that call

BgRn, there was a ref literally right in front of the block in the back play, standing there staring at it.

no excuse, this is what these men do for a living.
