Officials on site apparently offered Kiffin the opportunity to shorten that 90 minute delay and get the game started earlier than the eventual 8:40pm local time kickoff. And he told reporters after the win that he declined, purposefully, to make Clemson suffer in the terrible Tiger Stadium visiting locker room.

Take that Dabo for all your trash talking during the week. Lol

Lane knows what he's doing. was it annoying at the time? yes, but i don't think anyone would go back in time and change a thing

The ESPN broadcast team said the exact opposite, that dabo had demanded his full 90 min.

I'm going with ESPN who was there over a fox news article

Pretty sure Lane mentioned he wanted the full 90 minutes in either the postgame or today's press conference

It can be both, Dabo wanted it and Lane when asked said he wanted it too.

Stop calling it the 90 minute delay. The delay was 30 minutes after the last lightning strike within 8 miles. It was the 90 minute warmup period, and the 90 minute clock started 20 minutes after the delay was lifted. The last lightning strike was at 6:28, meaning the weather delay ended at 6:58, but the 90 minute clock didn't start until 7:10.
