I live in Alexandria, La. and several of the games on watch ESPN have been blacked out. I don't recall having any issues last year. Does anyone have any info on why this is happening. Thanks

They are on CST and you are in their viewing area.

If there has been more than 2 then you have an issue. There's probably two more left. Games that are on Cox sports are blacked out in your area.

No idea. But I was pretty ticked at that last night. I thought that was why you pay for those extra channels.

The issue with that is Cox isn’t available in my area.

Basically CST has a couple games this year and they sell the rights to ESPN but only allow them to show it outside of the CST viewing area.
You can catch these games on CST. Know this will not be a problem for any SEC games as SECN has rights to them.

There has only been two including last nights game. Thanks

You live in Louisiana, it's blacked out in the states where CST is available... I don't have Cox Cable so I didn't get to watch either

Another solution is getting off your wifi and using LTE.

Shouldnt be blacked out then. Unless they just black out all of LA, Which they might.

The non conference games away from Alex Box which are usually only a couple a year are not part of SEC network package.
CST usually picks those games up, Ronnie Rantz handles those like Tulane at Turchin and the Wally Pontiff Classic will all be on CST.

I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what they do. And it’s frustrating.

install a proxy plugin to your browser and switch it to a different area

Those damn CST exclusive games get blacked out statewide.
You can still stream on your phone app if not connected to your home wifi (as previous poster stated).
I actually left and drove to the nearest store in the 1st inning when I saw it was blacked out. I hadn't realized it was going to be a Cox game. Bought an iPhone to TV hdmi adapter and it worked flawlessly.
I won't ever have that problem again. Hopefully that helps and works for you too.

I think it has to do if it's available to your cable provider. Say you have Directv and they have the option to make Cox part of their package but don't because of price or whatever reason then you still get blacked out.
Moral of the story is Cox sucks. They purchase these "LSU" games from the home teams because since SECN started it's all they have left.
