Not one single fan thought we would be where we are today. It's clear many fans have lost sight of where we were expected to finish in year 1.

Saturday sucked and really inexcusable but the further we get away from it the more people will realize how good this season was for setting the foundation of the Kelly era.

Easy to do that with the run we had post TN. In the long run, this team worked their asses off to completely change the culture, buy in and played as hard as they could. And it paid off with a West championship. The tank was empty by last Sat apparently. I like the idea of these tigers playing with a chip on their shoulder this weekend. I think it could be a fun game. I’ll be there

Need to capitalize by finishing strong in recruiting and the portal. Need a roster than can stack up year in and year out with the UGA’s and Ohio State’s of the world.

I know this is somewhat of an impossibility for most on the Rant, but it is entirely possible to BOTH be pleased with the overall results of the season to date AND incredibly disappointed and critical of the performance on Saturday which cost LSU an opportunity to potentially reach the CFP...something LSU has only participated in once in the eight years of its existence.

The future for LSU football looks bright. That doesn't mean you have to complete ignore the present that with a TON on the line LSU came out and was physically dominated, outcoached and outplayed by a team who had not done that against anyone else in the SEC all season. While we THINK this is just the start of LSU again being a perennial playoff contender, nothing is ever certain. So it is frustrating to watch the team waste away an opportunity that possibly (but hopefully not) won't present itself again.

Time to look forward and not back. What happened Saturday happened. We clearly are not good enough to win the college football playoff this year bro. We never were. Can we be good enough just one more night to knock off Georgia and pull off the impossible? I’ve seen BK do some crazy shite this year already. Yes, it’s OK to be upset about Saturday. But this team clearly had nothing left in the tank. BK has asked an awful lot of them ever since they stepped foot on campus. They have overachieved and you should be happy about that.

So to keep this straight…
CLEARLY not good enough to win CFP, CLEARLY has nothing left in the tank, but we can beat the best team in the country this week?

You got that right. This team doesn’t have it in the tank to beat three top 5 teams to win a national championship right now. But do they maybe have enough for just one more night? We’ll see. Most likely not.

It was a rebuilding year(or worse) for every team in the west. I can’t remember a season when it was this bad tbh.

It wasn’t for Bama though. Remember when they were preseason the most hyped potential national championship contender ever? That’s some funny shite right there.

He has done an amazing job. Unfortunately we've had some glaring problems with special teams, passing game.

My hope now is TCU and USC win their conference championships and then maybe LSU wouldn’t have made the playoff anyways. It would ease some sting of the A&M clunker.

LSU still has a lot to play for on Saturday.
