It's definitely some form of damage control. That's for sure. Someone with 7 years of fully guaranteed money doesn't do this unprompted.

Guess he could choose worse players, but at this point it is pretty simple More NIL money = Better Players

First was to facilities upgrades/TAF and this is to the actual NIL fund, but yes, it is his second time.

But people were bitching about NIL not having enough money and saying BK should give his own to buy players. Well, he has now, and given a frick load.

He desperately wants to win a natty.

I know there's a narrative here that he doesn't care, just golfs all the time, and only came here for a retirement parachute but that just isn't true.

Ugh college football just sucks now and it all could have been mitigated had the schools and NCAA just made a few concessions along the way to placate.

Bingo, if they would have just started paying players along the way, it could have started at 10K each and probably worked its way up to 50 - 100 each by now which would have been a drop in the bucket and could have possibly thwarted the transfer portal debacle

And to think, Will Wade is still chastised for (alleged but not proven) paying LSU basketball recruits out of his own pocket.

From Dick Vitale and others (including LSU fans) acting like that was the worst transgression ever, to Brian Kelly literally donating some of his own money to pay players. What a time to be alive!!!

Fun fact #1: it was then, and is now, illegal for a coach to pay players.

Fun fact #2: coach is asking fans to donate to NIL, and he will match that donation out of his own pocket, but paid to TAF.

That’s great, but they’re still behind on it and one of the links for the new recurring donation option is a broken link. They gotta do a little better.

It’s called being objective.

No one on this board predicted lsu to have 4 losses before the season started.

I’ve signed up for Bayou Traditions. Let’s do this Tiger fans. There hasn’t been a time until now that fans can make an impact to recruiting and consistency of our Football (and other collegiate sports) program at LSU. Any amount will help.

I would have definitely said 8-4 if you told me Guillory and Perkins would be lost for the year and Dellinger would be out multiple games.

I was only thinking 9-3 without all that.
