The FSU game was a microcosm (“Snapshot” for fans who wanted Billy Napier and Jimbo Fisher) of how this season and the Brian Kelly era of LSU will look. LSU got better where they needed to throughout that game and the despite being outplayed for three quarters still was competitive. The resources of LSU football and the talent depth of Louisiana has not had a coach to match since Saban until now. I sincerely think Brian Kelly will will 4-6 championships over the next ten years. For the LSU fans who wanted Jimbo and Napier you’re forgiven, you just read too much. If you really want to know how good of a coach BK is, two words. “Notre Dame” pre Kelly, post Kelly. Marcus Freeman may not win a game this year. Brian Kelly has and will.

I had some doubts, but kicking the crap out of a powerhouse like Southern convinced me.

I'll predict 2 championships in 10 years...

Because the SEC has Kirby...Saban

And UT and OU coming in

The late surge was nice and all that, but LSU should have been up 14-7 in the first quarter. Execution cost them the game. Execution in all three phases - red zone offense, punt returns/kicking for points, 3rd down defense.

Slow your roll. I'm not an emotional child and I don't want to fire the guy after FSU, but let's win A SINGLE meaningful game first before we crown this cat the GOAT LSU coach, aight?

No, Saban has showed us at Alabama what would have happened if he stayed here.

Kelly is seemingly set up for success and has been a good coach for a long time. He isn't Saban, no one is. Stop building expectations then setting the world on fire when they come not to fruition.

Saban has shown to be much more adaptable and forward thinking than Kelly.

About a decade ago, Saban rejected the out-dated offensive concepts that Kelly embraces to this day. That's yuge

Expectations like that after beating up on Southern, explain a lot about this place.

Saban would not have been as successful at L S U as he has been at Alabama because L S U has never had and still doesn't have the well organized and sophisticated system for buying players that Alabama has had since the Bear Bryant days. As in everything, practice makes perfect and Alabama is the best in the country at that.

Nice. Can’t wait to win 9 championships over the next 2 decades.

Bro, Saban was king of CFB when he left LSU...
he was raking in #1 or #2 classes when he left...the entire SEC knew they were doomed with him at LSU...they rejoiced when he left us

thus look at what Les Miles inherited...a Ferrari!
