BK inherits Saban approach again

Marcus Freeman is certainly a good coach, but like Les Miles winning with Saban recruits in 2007, Coach Freeman is winning with a BK recruit-dominated roster.

Notre Dame is about to get boatraced in a title game same as what happened when Kelly was there.
LSU will have a better team than ND next year.
LSU is gearing up for a title run.
We just have a bunch of clowns that invest their entire life into LSU sports, and when they aren’t on the mountaintop, they take it out on LSU.
BK will lead us to the promise land. This is LSU.

Lol Sorry to break the news to you, but those are Freeman's guys... Kelly has been gone for 3 seasons now.

Not that I really care that much, but your statement is wrong.

I told my son tonight that this is the game for second place. The other game will have the eventual title game winner. Both offenses were not good. Best position group on the field was the PSU defensive line…and Denbrock called a game just good enough to beat them.
Quarterback play has been outside of Will Howard and the occasional flash from Ewers. Outside of that, QB play has been lacking in these playoffs.

Needs to be permanently emblazoned on the top of the forum and appear as the first post in every thread that is created.
The collective mentality that got us to the top of the mountain is gone, replaced by something that will not sustain success.

This may be the most accurate and honest statement I’ve ever seen on TD. It’s embarrassing to share a fan base with some of these low vibrational weirdos

only 7 of 22 starters on their depth chart were recruited when Kelly was there, so there is a significant amount of talent that was part of Kelly's time at Notre Dame, but a large part of Freeman's as well.
Freeman's a good coach. His team's schedule landed really good this year. Teams they expected to be much tougher weren't (aTm, USC, Fla St.) and they had a favorable playoff situation with Beck out for UGA and Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas being on the other side of the bracket. It's not Notre Dame's fault the schedule broke that way. It just is what it is. Sometimes you get the easier road. That said if they win on 1/20, they are Natty Champs and no one will care about what road they took. They will only care that the trophy is theirs.

yep, Freeman is doing what BK couldn't do with BK's players. This argument doesn't bode will for BK's ability.

"only 7 of 22 starters on their depth chart were recruited when Kelly was there..."
7 (32%) of 22 (68%)... so Freeman get more than half the credit...

Of course. And same for Miles in 2007
But you could make the argument that both Saban and Kelly restored the programs back to blue blood status after years of slumber

To the idiots, and you know who you are. Freeman hasn't done squat that kelly didn't do. Kelly went to 2 playoffs when only 4 teams. Freeman wouldn't be in the p[layoffs if it was still 4 teams. Kelly also went to NCG . Freeman hasn't so how about ya'll quit making moronic stupid statements that aren't true. And kelly rebuilt a losing program and handed Freeman an 11-1 #5 ranked team. Yet kelly finished higher than ND in 2022 and 2023 after taking over a dumpster fire, The stupidity on this site is amazing but it is driven by KDS.
