BK contract details

Have seen a lot of figures thrown out about BK’s buyout amount. According to the contract, as of Jan 1 2025, he has 64.8 million left on the contract. If terminated w/o cause, he is owed 90% of that (58.3) paid out over the remaining term (7 yrs at 8.33 per year). Offset for any post firing earnings for college OR professional coaching, admin, or media positions.

I’ll never understand how completely sucking at your job or not delivering on your promises is not considered “cause for termination”.

I don't get it either. Hopefully one of these schools will quit this nonsense and break the cycle. Either come to the school and do your best, or we'll find someone else.

$58,300,000 is only $81 and some change per seat, per game for a 7 home game season.
