Did BK/donors not pay nil money this year to have more for the 2025 class? How much do you think that factored in to what we are seeing this year?

I think we expected guys like Nuss, Lacey, Hilton, Chester, Jackson to step up to various effects.

the DT was pretty shallow after the first couple of high end guy.

Deep down, they probably knew this year would not go well, and knew throwing a bunch of money at a DT in the transfer portal would not be the "missing piece."

Losing Guillory was a big blow considering his experience, maturity, etc.

Nolan could’ve helped as well as others.

Nolan wouldn’t have helped the horrible secondary, nor the dysfunctional O-line, nor the WRs that can’t catch anything contested, nor the QB that’s scared of his own shadow now, nor the elementary level play calling by the OC… Heck might as well add the punter that can’t kick it more than 30 yds. This team is a complete joke and one player wouldn’t have made much of a difference

There’s so many holes in this team. Did anyone expect our o line not be able to run block or pass protect? Did anyone expect our secondary to still play bad, did anyone expect our WRs to drop passes, did anyone expect our QB to complete less than 50% of his passes, and the list goes on.

Pretty good point ! Maybe some coaches are having a hard time accepting the NIL. It needs restrictions but will not happen. Just get with the program ! Did that drive Lil’ Nicky Out ?

The only hope for our team to make the playoffs in 2025 is to hit the portal like Ole Miss did. And even though our AD bristles at NIL for teenagers, if he doesn’t want the natives to get too restless after another year of a pop tarts bowl, he’s going to have to start playing that game.
