Our coaches didn't panic, they had faith in their team.

My take is that we are a young talented team, that benefited from Badgers trying to develop a passing game when they were hammering us on the ground. Their OL and Gordon are very good and talented. They will not lose many.

Jennings improved, the WR's will be fine.

One more point, they were undermanned on D and it eventually hurt them. However, their defense plays with smarts...made our RBs and OL look bad for most of the game. If our defense played with the same smarts...how good could it be with the talent. Still worried about DTs and MLBs. QBs still a work in progress. Kwon and DBs look great DEs not bad.

Their MLB Caputo held that defense together as long as he could...I was extremely impressed with him and wish he was playing on our side.

He shot through gaps like I have seen since Kevin Minter.

From the sound of it we worked on it heavily all fall, and we couldnt complete even 1 of 3 attempts...with 2 of 3 being not even in the neighborhood

He did hit a middle screen in the first half. It was a nice touch pass, but a simpler throw because he didn't have to loft it.

He did Hilliard once on a screen, this is true...but I was talking more of the traditional WR screens.

Nebraska is their toughest test from here on out. Nebraska/Iowa... one of them will beat Wisconsin. And I think they end up with one lose in the four games leading up to that.

I would agree they win out if they looked half as good as the hype. They didn't.

As soon as we started doing something besides running into the teeth of their defense it was apparent they have a defense that guard quality recievers.

I can only imagine what the score would have been had we come out throwing 60% of the time. Hell we only let the offense play a quarter and a half and still won the game. You can't do that against a true top 20 team. Wisc. is not really a top 20 team quality wise.

We've got to get better at the screen pass and throwing to the TEs. We did it terrible tonight, but for the kind of team/offense this is gonna be, those have to be parts of our offense.

We definitely have to get better on the screen pass. Fournette could have had 50+ receiving yards had Jennings put a little more touch on it. What I don't agree with you on, is about the TEs. Jennings threw to Dickson, he fumbled, couldn't catch another pass on his hands, and I believe he dropped another. Smith had a wide open pass hit him right on the chest about 25 yards downfield. He catches that and turns upfield, you're looking at, at least a 40 yard catch and run.

Jennings found the TEs, they just didn't produce.

I'm thrilled we won, but I think our coaches did a terrible job go getting our offense into any kind of rhythm.

THIS. We could have put the game away a drive earlier had they ran up the gut on 3rd and 2 instead of pitching to the short side. They also need to trust Jennings to utilize the full playbook. He never lost his composure, didn't looked scared, and stared down pass rushers to deliver strikes to Dural and Diarse, and others. He had command of the huddle, and distributed the ball a lot. His deep ball was on point 99% of the time

Man, I am so excited for next week.

They may win games against lesser competition and be ranked higher than other teams that are actually better.

I think their defense and run game will be really good. The Wiscy guys did tell us about them being experienced and playing a lot last year. That run defense was 5th in the nation last year, and they did it in a run heavy, smash mouth Big 10 conference.

They might finish again in the top 5 run defense once they get those injured guys back. That secondary is pretty decent too. IMO, they finish 10-2 or 11-1 and a top 10 team.

Doubtful. He had his time to shine, but it really looked like Jennings matured in the 2nd half.

My takeaway is that I sure wish he had emailed me.

Choctaw tried to bet numerous posters 10 grand that LSU would win by 10 or more. He may be poor this morning.

I think Jennings did fine…ONCE our great O line started blocking. We had more issues with the lines on both sides last night than anything. We will see Harris more this week. I'm fine with Jennings b/c once he had blocking he did good.

They don't need to scrap the screen pass. They just need to execute it better. Every team needs to have some version of a screen to take advantage of overaggressive playcalling

I hate the screen pass when we run it... Mainly because it doesn't work. I know it can be effective because I watch the saints and they run them all the time. Maybe we're just not doing something right?
