This is immediately what popped into my head.

Biggest melt probably

The loss to Tenn - Miles' first home game was another.

How about Stony Brook blocking the Tigers from going to Omaha?

I had actually made my plans for Omaha that year and did go. Surprisingly there were a few Tiger fans in the crowd.

My personal biggest melt was the LSU v. Tennessee T-Bob Hebert moment. Lost my mind, screaming, cursing enough to send ten men to hell. Then they won.

1/9/12 and the like developed slowly, but that situation was instant, and so was my melt.

Biggest was 1/9/12.
And McKnight to SC is the only thing close to that debacle.

Joe McKnight is the meltiest melt I remember, followed by O being hired and 1/9/12.

The 5 for 5 memory has faded over time for me, because we honestly came out ok in that debacle.

Other memorable times: the Miles to Michigan saga in 2007 (when BelowPar emerged), the pre-season 2011 bar fight with Jordan Jefferson and the aftermath, and the very brief period between Lincoln Riley saying he wasn't coming to LSU and then immediately turning around for USC.

Speaking of that last one, I enjoyed the OU melt over Lincoln leaving immensely, but NOTHING compares to the melt Tennessee had when Lane Kiffin left for the Trojans. I was on the Rant the night the Tennessee students were burning mattresses and shite, and it was epic.

1/9/12 was pretty bad.

The Miles era in general was a giant rant in itself. Something new weekly to bitch about.

1-9-12 and everything else far behind. To the rant that was the end of LSU football. We would never be good ever again. And we definitely would never win another championship.
