BTW, I have been very pleasantly surprised by Tommy White’s defensive performance. It’s far from great, but I thought it was going to be very bad.

Agreed. He’s not a weak link fielding I thought he’d be. Isn’t a gold glove candidate, but he’s pretty good.

Little has been a big disappointment

His last two outings were abysmal but going into that A&M weekend people felt great about him coming in at the end

Biggest disappointment was Christian Little and Hurd. I hope Hurd can get it together and be a reliable starter, but I have zero faith in Little. Mid-week relief duties only for him. Most pleasant surprise was Jordan Thompson. He was clutch on the field and got some important hits too. He looked good swinging the bat

Our bullpen is not as deep as we thought because Hurd and Little aren't taking that next step. I still think Hurd has the ability to get really good so if he finds his stuff especially late in the season watch out.

Biggest disappointment, but to be expected, was our chicken little, early inning, emotional, cry baby fans. Complete meltdown, panic mode over a bad inning or a 1 game result. I'm guessing they are all under 25 years old.

Re White's defense, he's played 3rd all his life except for that one season at N.C. State. He's said several times that he's "very comfortable" playing there. Not only taking 2 out of 3 from the #3 team in the country, LSU blew them out twice. One hit in the last 2 innings of the last game away from 10 running them. Twice.

morgan's mis read on 3rd. Jobert's embarrassing pick off at 1st. Getting cracked in the 10th.

The intensity of the "response" on Saturday.
