The difference in the last eight years of the losses is no matter who their quarterback is he always has time to throw the ball. Our defense is good to beat him but when your quarterback has less than three seconds to throw the ball along with Alabama’s press man coverage it’s very hard For plays to developed.

In summary, the game is either won or lost in the trenches.
LSU’s talent and depth compared to ALA is inferior

You do realize you can swap lines & the results would be the same, right?? It’s not a personnel issue. It’s a schematic issue. It’s subpar coaching to elite coaching. Do you think TAMU or ARKY have better personnel than LSU??

Sabin
Tua
And a few more 5 stars running backs!

Not to take anything away from our team, but Bama just has more size, speed, and strength than we do (or any other team in the NCAA right now.

There really is a big gap on the line right now between the 2 programs.

While there’s been some overstated idea that Alabama is “down” on defense this year, the d line starters are no joke. Quentin Williams (NG) is the top rated D lineman in the draft eligible group and Buggs and Davis are 1st or 2nd round picks themselves.

I’m sorry but that is not at all accurate. LSU is right there close to Bama in recruit star rating. This talk about a huge talent discrepancy is false.

Coach O said it himself last night. Have to get better lineman if we want to be with the big boys. The SEC is meat and potato football, if you can’t run or stop the run you will lose against teams that can.
