Diesel... Bigger Waste.

I thought that guy was the next Heisman Trophy winner for LSU. Amazing talent.

Exactly, and he is talked as being one of the best LSU running backs ever. Perriloux has about the same amount of playing time nad has not dropped any jaws like cecil did.

It is easier for a RB to break into the starting lineup than a QB...

Both.

Ironic though that both were addicted to a certain type of "crack"

Gotta think "the Diesel", at least as far as we can tell at this point. Cecil messed up in college and *still* got drafted by thegreatJimmahJohnson...THEN he really, really messed up by throwing that chance away.

RP may yet still prove us wrong and make a difference in the NFL someday (very long shot, but it's still there). Collins ending up in prison makes him the clear "biggest loser" of the two---for now.

Give RP time, give him time.....he is rounding out to a nice little felon.

But I believe Collins could have been a top 10 back all time in College and the NFL....I dont think RP was ever gonna be that type of player

They're really not comparable yet. Perrilloux still has a chance to succeed, and therefore not "waste" his talent.

RP was given the reins to the NC football team, he turned it down cause he just could not conform. A good year or two for LSU he goes as a first day draft pick, IF he has no baggage.

Now he is in 1AA, tons of baggage, he can be all world and not be drafted at all, OR in the late rounds.

Costs him millions and millions......so far he has wasted his talents as much as worldly possible.

Biggest waste was not pulling out in both cases.

True, he wasted his shot here. So I would have to say Perrilloux screwed up more since he would have had a chance to win a national championship. Cecil could have been in the Heisman race, but I don't think he would have been able to turn those 98 and 99 teams completely around to be in the title hunt.

Cecil Collins was a better RB than Perriloux is a QB. Additionally, Perriloux still has a chance to make something of himself.

Collins is a bigger waste by a large margin.

collins had more ability than any RB i have ever seen play in my life. perilloux could have been great but the chances of him making it over collins wouldnt have been great. much harder for a QB to get in a game in the NFL than a RB.

your exactly right. I don't think many people realize that Cecil was a special Ed student. Who got in LSU and the only the lord knows how.

I don't know. They both had all-world talent and both pissed it away due to demons in their own heads.

Trust me on this. It's pretty much the same thing, only it manifests itself in a different way. Cecil ended up in prison for criminal behavior but he was essentially a little boy inside.

Is RP any more mature? Though he's not a law-breaker, his narcissistic streak is just going to keep getting him into more and more trouble that his ego will tell him he can charm his way out of. It's just sad.
