The one argument that O "is an elite recruiter" has and always will be bullshite. There is a difference recruiting when you are the guy vs. when a great coach like Carroll, Miles, and every at Miami is the guy and recruiting for them.
We have 2 top 190 players committed. 3 if you add Chase.
Bama has about 10
Georgia has about 14
Texas has about 12

LSU was never going to get Herman once the Texas job became available. I’m not upset about not getting him however I’m upset that LSU didn’t even try to get him. They could have driven the price up and at least showed the country that they were willing to pay top dollar for a coach that they wanted.

Listen fellows. LSU football has slid into the class of totally mediocracy since 1-9. Kids don't come here to win championships. They come here to get to the NFL. It is obvious that the powers that be do not care about winning as much as the bottom line. WE, the fans, just have to accept that or quit going to games.
Orgeron was a lazy hire for sure. I don't think he is capable of putting together a championship coaching staff, much less the team to go with it.
Call me negatiger all you want. I just accept that the commitment to rise to the top is not there from the ones we need the most. The AD and BOD are fricking us.

This will be 2 years in a row that he disappoints late. Surtain is a must for O. He must show he can go head to head with the big boys late in the game and close the deal Like Miles used to do.

People need to face the facts. The narrative of "0 is an ace recruiter" is fake news. 0 is a good recruiter, but he is only an elite recruiter when he has someone else to close the deal.
