I say Southern. Really don't care about RPI and all that jazz. Would just rather play against a respectable opponent on a real baseball field than go to a sterile turf facility and play in front of a slew of Uptown inbreds who wouldn't know what to do with good baseball if stripped down in front of them.

How about neither. They both are inferior programs with inferior talent

Yea but we're gunna lose midweek games.

How bout next week in the Shrine? You really gunna be disappointed when ULL throws their ace on a Tuesday and we're forced to muster up a comeback in a loss?

I'm not. Focused way more on sweeping Mizzou and Florida in consecutive weekends.

Our midweek starters should have more talent than mid week games aces.

Also, our offense should be able to bludgeon mid week pitching, regardless if our midweek pitching is on.

You don't have to. In one of the Bregman years the team went undefeated in the midweek.

I'm fine with working on pitching during the midweek but why do the bats have to not show up? It's not like PM is running out a drastically different lineup. No reason to turn in performances like they have this year.

Yea but we had Bregman. This year we have Reid. He was playing basketball in the Rec four months ago. Different strategy.

Point is that I’m happier to lose to Southern against a team that has a legit shot at winning their conference and making a regional than Tulane whose coeds think their tuition is a donation to Louisiana’s economy.

Marceaux got his first action in around a month after coming back from injury as the starter. He looked like he lacked confidence and accuracy. He gave up 5 runs before getting pulled. It was a bad outing for him absolutely, but better to do so against southern than mizzou, FL, etc. The rest of the bullpen looked pretty good overall. Beck was inconsistent and they got a couple of runs there. If you take out the Marceaux start you have 2 runs which isn't bad.

I'll agree our run output should be better, but sometimes that shite happens. Southern pitcher was on his game and kept our guys off balance. We've gotta improve there. Hopefully Cabrera will be both back and at our near 100%. Will make a big difference if so. You can then have Gio take the dh back. Good to have him get some of xp though. Will need it for next year.

Uptown inbreds

I’m gonna go out on the limb here and say Battin Rudge likely has a lot more inbreds than uptown New Orleans

I do not want to lose a game to anyone anywhere. But, if I have to lose to just one Louisiana team I would choose Southern.

I don't like either one, but Tulane has been to the CWS before. Do you seriously think you'll ever see Southern in Omaha?
