I'll take Florida for now. LSU has a ton of room to improve over the season though. We have a ton of talent on the pitching staff that just isn't performing to their standard right now and yet we're still leading the SEC west.

Caglione is having a bad start so far. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Florida in a bullpen game considering their pen is not very good

Ackenhausen should be back for Kentucky. Edwards looks like only out for a few weeks rather than the season which was originally thought. Guidry and Herring emerging as stars as only true freshman. Coleman could be back in a few weeks too. We will be okay.

Sproat and waldrep and both solid pitchers. Sulphur was wrong about sproat being their sunday guy. But they have 2 solid options at the top, like most great teams. Lsu and florida are pretty close with our injuries factored in IMO.

If our top 2 would be putting up the outings that Florida’s guys are we’d be in self implode mode. That’s kind of the point. It’s different standards that are being set.

100% lol

I agree that Waldrep and Sproat are good despite their ERAs being kind of high. But that’s just kinda college baseball this year, there’s a lot of scoring. Like Waldrep has given up exactly 3 ER in 3 of 4 SEC starts, which should be enough to win most games for a good Florida offense…but it isn’t exactly shutdown.

Floyd has been decent in his role all things considered.

It's pretty close. I'd take LSU 2/3 but it would be a slug fest that could tilt either way. Their pitching is really not that great...ERA is nearly a run higher than ours. We've seemingly lost some arms, but Guidry has stepped up and Ack should be back. Need for Collins to step up, Hurd to get back going, and 1 other guy to give us some quality innings. They slug but we're a more complete offensive team that would run them thin. Fielding is very similar.

LSU rn with Edwards, Florida just got run ruled by Tennessee. Yes I know Tennessee whipped our butts last weekend in the last game but we didn’t get run ruled and we put up a fight.

Lsu is and will be always better than Florida. They were the original game cancelors iirc back with that windy rain day football game a few years back...plus just got run ruled by tenner. I'm biased n looking thru p&g glasses but our schedule has been better and our record will soon reflect that unless our pitching staff has all their arms fall off in the near future and I'm actually starting to worry about that.

SEC East about to cannibalize themselves with Gaytors having to play Vandy, USCE & UK.

We’ll see soon enough how good they are.

If Hurd was even close to his hype it wouldn’t be close. He’s been bad, hope he figures It out because he’s a huge key to a Natty.

Hurd is coming off a big injury. He pitched in 9 games for UCLA last year as a freshman, starting 6 of them. His ERA was a 1.06. He gave up 4 earned runs in 34 innings pitched with 48 strikeouts. He has the ability to be great. He's just not pitching well right now.

Getting close to what we had last year and the same problems with no starters outside Shores and not enough bullpen to supplement.

Do you seriously believe this?
