2006 was one of my favorite teams, prolly 3rd to 2011 (2) and 2019 (1) but 2019 hands down.

But 05 essentially had 06's talent (minus a few freshman contributors, namely Keiland), plus these guys:

That team had a very bad luck with the schedule. I forgot how many consecutive weeks they had to play. Probably would not have made BCSCG even if they would've won all of their games.

Top to bottom, in your opinion and taking into account the individual talent on the rosters, which LSU team was better - 2006 or 2019? Sure, 2006 lost on the road at Auburn and Florida, but many consider it to be the most talented LSU team of that decade.

2001 10-3 LSU was the most talented LSU and NOBODY wanted a piece of them at the end of the year.

Fight me.

Put any competent coach in charge of that 2006 team and we’re talking about 2 undefeated teams.

LOL. LSU wasn't going to win a rigged game against Auburn. You people need to get a grip.

I was at the Auburn game. Get back to me when you find a game that the 2019 LSU Tigers only scored 3 points in.

2006 was an extremely good team.

2011 was an extremely good team.

2007 was an extremely good team.

2003 was an extremely good team.

Put together a team of players from those 4 seasons….

Burrow led team beats that team.

Were you drunk in a blackout when we played Florida that year? That was a miserable home game.

Jimbo and Miles collectively screwed that game. Refs did too though

The 2006 team scored 3 points against Auburn, 10 points against Florida, and barely survived at home in OT against the worst Ole Miss team in decades (coached by Orgeron). So no I don't think they would match up well against the greatest college football team of all time.

2019 team’s offense was just on another level. They’d stomp literally any other Tiger team. 1958, 2003, 2011... any of them.

In all likelihood, that’s the best team and individual season (Burrow specifically) that LSU will ever have.

That’s a lazy argument. You could argue 06 was a “better team” than 07.

Title aside 2019 was clearly the most talented team LSU ever had

This can be a fun what-if. Someone with too much time on their hands should put together the hypothetical roster.

You can say that about pretty much any team that went undefeated and won a NC.

What would 2010 Auburn be without Cam Newton?

Would 05 Texas go undefeated without Vince Young?

And 06 LSU might would have lost 2 more games at least without JR. All in all the 2019 team was still better overall than the 2006 team.

2019 LSU was a much better team.

The 06 team didn't come together until KW started playing. And we beat Ed O in overtime that year.

2019 would wipe the floor with any team including 2011.

They didn't "wipe the floor" with Texas (8-5) or specifically, Auburn (9-4). Auburn's defensive tackles really kept that game in check.

That '06 team had Tyson Jackson, Dorsey, Chase Pittman, Ricky Jean Francois on the line. Beckwith and Ali Highsmith at LB. Chevis Jackson, Laron Landry, Jesse Daniels, Craig Steltz, and Zenon in the secondary. That was a damn good, physical defense. Much better than the 2019 defense.

The talent on the offensive side was ridiculously good as well - Russell, Hester, Alley Broussard, Buster Davis, Brandon LaFell, Early Doucet, Dwayne Bowe...I'd argue that the 2006 offensive line was better than the 2019 offensive line as well.

Well, that's due to the head coach...
