is this one any different than what we wore vs CMU a few years ago?

> I really liked these. Felt fresh and new but still looked like LSU (unlike w/p/w). We have the best helmet in CFB and shouldn't go away from it imo.
Just need to fix the stripes on the pants to match and this is a winner that we should wear once a year or so. I like it way better than the all whites (with a few minor tweaks).

Now is it entirely possible that one or more of the coaches who were fired during that period (Stovall, Archer and Hallman) if they could have worn whites at home, could have retained their employment on the LSU sideline?

I disagree. I think white helmet and white pants should always accompany the purple jersey.

they're definitely not ugly, but they just don't look like LSU to me. i'd rather the g/p/g.

That wasn’t normal in their days. We were forced to wear those due to NCAA rule that was instituted to screw with Georgia Tech because someone in the NCAA had a beef with them.

I actually think the helmet would look better if there was one purple stripe instead of pwp
