agree with this to some extent though you might expect to see the effect of folks following the players from their schools into the WNBA and I don't think that's really translated. And at this point the WNBA 26 years - not sure what the statute of limitations on when we can excuse the lack of popularity on "starting from scratch" but at 26 years I think that's been exceeded.
Let's also keep in mind that the WNBA HAS increased in popularity over the past 2-3 seasons. So, let's not be so quick to write it off. Will it ever be on the level of men's basketball..................nope. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't have a niche in the sports landscape.....................especially considering all the sports that do get media coverage. Personally, I enjoy WNBA games. Been going to them since the league started and have seen some GREAT games, in front of sell out crowds. But, I'd NEVER equate it to men's bball.

Man, I think I tried watching early on - and that was enough.
I'm probably only going to watch women's basketball when it's LSU playing are rarely any other women's games, but to be honest I feel the same about college baskeball....if it's not LSU I'm probably not watching.
EDIT: I just went back and looked up WNBA attendance for last year and if it's up a lot the last 2-3 years - that's pretty sad, and even sadder because you know listed attendance is tickets sold (or given away) and not actual. That's all sports now, nobody lists actual anymore.

1. They win.
2. They win by a lot.

I'm sure people are sick of hearing about betting and odds. But it's a good read about how the team is predicted to perform.
Pre-season: LSU National Champions +5000
Current odds: +1100 (4th highest odds on FanDuel)

Pussy is undefeated and not the first year either.

Agree. I think we are a year away. I think we could face SC this year 3 times and beat them once. SC is loaded with seniors.

I tend to agree. Although it will be a mild upset if we beat them in Columbia this year. Next season will be the year for us. SC loses 7 seniors who are the bulk of their starters and scorers, and we return almost EVERYONE except Morris. But then we add in the #1 recruiting class that includes Mikaylah. We'll be preseason top three next season and the preseason favorite to win the SEC.
