Noel Devine and LaMichael James NFLSCOUT 40yd times. Noel 4.45 LMJ 4.42. Bisonduck my bad I wasn't trying to call you out. I misunderstood your post. I just was stating sped isn't as big of a threat to us as a bigger back would be.

hemiroid, I am just saying that this is a function of blocking more than the back. The key will be if Oregon can sustain blocks. Believe it or not, Oregon's oline play last year was made to look better because of LMJ as he hits the smallest of creases. Our retooled oline will be more talented but I fear they won't have the cohesion come sept 2.

I really don't believe Oregon will run the ball on LSU. However, the talent of LMJ is evident. He anchored the 4x100 relay team that won the PAC. No one catches him from behind. He plays with a lot of power for his size.

The problem will be whether the dline lives in the backfield.

Yea it will still be a close game due to the ineffectiveness of JJ. If we had a decent QB, this game would be blowout city.

I think a better question to ask would have been which RB/OLine combo will be the best LSU faces this year. These backs are all top notch, I'd give the edge to Richardson myself, but then I've seen more of him that the others. I've only looked at Oregon's OLine honestly, and I'd say James will have some tough sledding.

Oregon has elite talent on defense. We've turned the corner. Cliff Harris is the best cover corner in the country, Ricky Heimuli is an all american nose tackle, Urban Meyer dubbed Wade Keliikipi as Wade "cleanup" in the spring game, Dion Jordan will be a starter in the league. Do not understimate the Ducks defense. However, I digress and this is about the runningbacks LSU faces.

lulz, that dude had like ten tackles all year against a cup cake schedule and played in every game. not to mention he did not have a single sack and only one tackle for loss.

He was an all american tackle in high school and played as a true frosh. The coaching staff has had the likes of Ngata and Olshansky and say that Ricky has much upside at Ngata.

Oregon plays a 3-4 75% of the time and the NT isn't going to be making tackles.

I hope you dont rely on passing to beat us. This isn't even close to the weak secondary you faced against Auburn. You will have to run your gimmick quick snap offense and if Les doesn't have us prepared for it " which has never happened with so much time to prepare" then I could see LMJ " since he's conditioned for it" be a factor if our guys are tired. I see your offense being less effective against us more than it was the first half of the Tenn. Game. Tenn was clearly gassed the second half since they didn't have time to prepare for the fast pace offense. We won't have the Fairley you faced but will be close to him, but we will have definitely a better overall DLine then The Auburn you faced especially on the ends with speed.

hemiroid, you guys gave up quite a bit of offense to teams last year and lost the middle of your defenese. Sure, Oregon lost their middle as well but one guy from last year's senior class was drafted: Matthews. His predecessors are more talented athletically.

Auburn was a top 10 rushing defense last year. LSU was barely top 50. I am sorry but you can have elite speed at the end and it can actually work to your detriment against the read option.

LSU was the #6 rushing defense in the nation until we ran into a freight train by the name of Cameron Newton. Darron Thomas =\= Cam Newton. Hell, DT =\= Chris Relf

Correct Auburn # 11 and LSU # 38 now total defense LSU # 8 and Auburn # 53. We have plenty of depth on DLine and they rotated in often last year. In fact the Defense has plenty game experience from last year. We will be most effected at MLB!!

Cliff Harris is being projected as the 1st or 2nd cb going in the draft next year...and he will be a true junior. I've seen the kid from 'Bama going in front of him. I would say in pure coverage he is the best. However, we are all entitled to our own homeristic picks.
