Tory James was a student of mine, so I'm voting for him. I've never met these other folks.

David Browndyke.

I mean, c'mon, all the other guys were on the field hoping he would have the chance to score.

Pete Maravich.
Believe it or not, the best player in LSU History played basketball.

CORRECT!! Only three time All-American in school History. 2nd best IMO is Dalton Hilliard.

The answer is Pete Maravich and it is really not even close. In fact I would vote Chris Jackson second and probably Brandon Larson third.

Most complete player makes the best player. Maravich seems on top, but lacked defense.
Cannon, Offense, defense and punts for team maybe the one.
Casanova was a really good tailback as a Sophomore, but his skills were best as a shut down corner. He was also a whiz as a punt returner (so was Cannon).
I would take these two guys as best overall athletes in the history of LSU>

This is incorrect. Pete Maravich was a three time All-American. Woulda been four, but he was stuck playing on the freshman team his first year.

Cassanova and Cannon are the actual top players, but watching Tommy Hodson replays is awesome, and watching Rohan Davey throw the ball the way he did was pretty awesome too.

Men over 55 - Billy Cannon
Men 48-55 - Tommy Casanova (I'm in this category)
Men 30-47 - Kevin Faulk
Men 25-30 - Glen Dorsey
Under 25 - Patrick Peterson
Men who stay drunk at all games - Cecil Collins

Whoever the backup qb is at the time is the best player ever at LSU, followed by the talented player who doesn't get in the game because he doesn't know where to line up.

Pistol Pete was the best college player to ever play the game. Shaquille Oneal was the best center in LSU history as he dominated and intimidated the competition. Chris Jackson was the only player, since Maravich, to have a green light from anywhere on the court. This was definitely the most exciting years since the Pistol. I still go back and watch the tape of Ole Miss and LSU going bucket for bucket in '89. Gerald Glass had 51 and CJ had 53. That will never happen again in a college game. He also once made 283 shots in a row during one practice.
