Hands down DJ Welter
It wasn’t so much that DJ Welter was terrible at making a tackle, it is just that he would wait for the player to come to him and then get driven an additional 5 yards back while making the tackle. Whereas guys like Jamal Adams would approach the ball carrier as soon as possible and then square them up and drive them backwards. So, a Jamal Adams tackle that would go for a 2 yard carry might be a 12 yard carry when DJ Welter was making the tackle.

Devin White is an excellent choice.

Chad Jones was one of the best I’ve ever seen
IMO, this is the correct answer.

Not a hater, love me some Chad Jones, but am I completely mis-remembering him having a problem with hitting Rb's high and not wrapping up?

Give me Devin White and/or Kelvin Shepherd

Corey Webster
Not best ever per se, but as a pure cover CB (not hybrid/ nickel type), CWeb was about as good as it got (TD he gave up vs Iowa in his last game notwithstanding).
Especially given how much we blitzed and the one on one/ open field situations he found himself in as a result.

Laron Landry was the best tackler I have ever seen in an LSU uniform. The guy did not miss tackles.

Minter was probably as sure Of a tackler that I’ve seen.
Minter was a better LB and tackler than Beckwith was imho. Kinda feel like Minter was the 2nd best LB we’ve had here in the past 15 years, only behind White.

Tyrann, Devin, and Jamal never missed tackles 1 on 1.

I used to love watching Adams and Reid run up to the line a scrimmage like an assassin and blast fools attempting to run around the edge.
Testosterone levels would jump 100 points.

The first guy that stands out is Bradie James. As a linebacker he covered space and rarely missed a tackle
