I'm going with Campbell, Delly, Chester, Jones and Heard. I'm assuming Turner and Frazier move on. I believe Turners size/strength limits him on short yardage and goalline and against teams like Bama. Also think Frazier lacks some physicallity and Jones would be a big upgrade there. Chester looks great as a T Fr, should take a big jump in year 2. He could play around 325... If that is the case, whose our 3 key backups, Martinez, Lunsford Bordelon... I could see why they're targeting Bisintos Amd another guy that started out with Kelly but was put out for two years with a wreck. Kelly was one of his first offers

Edit; Martinez is out

Without knowing who moves on between Dellinger, Frazier and Turner it's hard to say right now.

But if 1 of the guards moves on I am all about moving Emery Jones inside and putting Heard out at tackle

I thought he mostly played fine this year but he seemed spooked against Bama. He had so many bad snaps. It was like he was rushing the snap trying to get positioned to not get blown back into the play.

Turner was alright this year, the Bama game was just a really bad time to play incredibly bad all around between getting physically manhandled, snapping the ball too low consistently (And slow?), on top of committing a few penaties.

He had a few games where its like he just completely forgot what the snap count was, had 9 penalties on him this season

Why is Martinez leaving? Seems to me like he got significant playing time.

He's only got 1 year left and was a backup. If other guys return on the interior where would he play. If a guard leaves we just move Jones inside and Heard starts at tackle.

If turner leaves Chester is the next up in line at center.

So there's alot of room for improvement mentally as well as physically. Maybe of he stays Chester can edge him out. Next year our rushing yards will come from GREAT BACKS and a superstar line with the TEs help

No one said he was leaving, no one knows. I firmly believe Chester would be a sizable upgrade.

I’m excited at the prospect of LSU’s running game next year.

He'll be at LG if Delly leaves!

If Turner doesn’t do that moronic double clutch snap FOR THE THIRD TIME the INT probably doesn’t happen; he single-handedly took that play from 2nd and 3 to 2nd and 8.

Should have been benched after the second one.

Wonder if this is an indication that Turner is coming back? Chester looks like he might be good enough to start regardless.

I'm still hanging onto Kelly's quote this year saying that Emery Jones best projects inside at C or G.

Basically similar career move as Ethan Pocic.

Kelly's quote:
quote:

Emery is a much more suited to play multiple positions when he moves on. A guy who could play center, guard and probably get you out of trouble playing tackle at the next level,” Kelly said. “Lance is a tackle with his length. They’re a little bit different, but I’d say they’re similar in terms of their demeanor, the way they approach things on a day to day basis.

Jones at C and Chester at RG might be the best combination. Plus that would allow Chester a full season of experience before being asked to play a position that usually requires more experience with calling out protections.
