Read the article, it’s about the last 20 years aka modern era

and currently

wrong (read the article)

quote:

Hartline may be pound for pound the best recruiter/developer in the country.

Proof?

Stacks 5* on top of 5* and gets them drafted highly.

Not as much as LSU apparently, read the article

quote:

Their 4th highest ranked wr commit this cycle is likely to be a kid that would top ours(McClellan).

The article bases its result of LSU on factual #s based on college and nfl results while you say OSU based on high school recruiting rankings. Let that sink in.

wasn't directed at me, but:

we have guys definitely on pace to pass up Carter.
but they have to stay healthy and productive for longer than just 2 or 3 seasons before you can say they've passed up a Hall of Famer.

As of right now since 20 years ago LSU overall has had better talent. That doesn’t mean they were used properly to take advantage of said talent.

Man, no other school would come close. But who would be 3-10?

Alabama, USC, Florida, Texas?

Name me 1 OSU WR drafted in the first round in the preceding 15 years before 2022. I’ll wait.

Nice arbitrary cutoff in 2007, Ted Ginn was a first rounder. Michael Thomas Curtis Samuel and Terry Mclauran were 2nd rounders

As far as current players/recent picks it looks like a quality vs quantity debate. Jefferson and Chase are the top 2 WR in the league but beyond those 2 no one else looks special. Marshall looks like he’s getting passed maybe by Chark. OBJ was elite but looks washed, anyone else in the pipeline? Olave and Wilson could be top 10 WR this JSN was a first rounder and Marvin Harrison Jr will most like be a top 5 pick next year
