Joe Burrow had the greatest season of any QB ever.

At this point he is an aspiration rather than a standard.

That being said after him our QB history is pretty meh because we were about 19 years late to the spread revolution.

No one has said this. Talk about overreaction

Texas Tech always had great QBs too. No trophies or championships.

Adding 800+ more yards with his legs really helps to make people say this.

Oh also you know actually winning football games.

Is Daniels really the guy for next year or is it a open competition in the spring?

The competition should absolutely be open but Daniels is the leader going into the Spring.

Take it easy. All I said was JD is conservative with the football and could let it fly down field more. It doesn’t sound ridiculous at all. It’s a critique of his performance last year. Based on watching BK get in his ear several times in several games this season after taking sacks or running out of bounds I would say BK agrees. Never said JD shouldn’t have been the starter.

I do think people forget just how good Jamarcus Russell's 2006 season was and how good 2001 Rohan Davey's season was.

I will still say Mettenberger did have a good 2013 season but not great and Matt Mauck had a efficient 2003 season that had his worst game in the Championship game against OU but our defense dominated the game enough that it did not matter.

Daniels stats are, at best, misleading.

I agree. All stats are misleading imo. At the end of the day, the only important “stat” (if you want to call it that) is W/L record.

On paper Bryce Young is better than JD5 all day, and twice on Sunday. Yet on the field, where it actually counts, JD5 took home the dub and proved that stats don’t mean shite… JD5 made it all the way to Atlanta with his misleading stats, while 12 other teams/Qb’s sat at home.

Let's not half arse Stats

Daniels had 3800 yards and 29 TDs in 12.5 total games.

Daniels played a half vs UGA and about a quarter and a half vs Southern and Purdue. In about a quarter and a half vs Purdue he had 206 yards and 2 TDs. In a half vs UGA he had 202 yards and 1 TD. In a quarter and a half vs Southen he had 155 yards and 4 TDs. In those 3 games he played about a game and a quarter. In that game and a quarter he had 463 yards and 7 TDs.

If extrapolate those 12.5 game stats over the 14 games you get 4250 yards and 32.5 TDs.

I'd love a guy to come back who basically put up 4000 yards and 30 TDs in 13 games. A guy that had to fight to earn the spot, play in the SEC West, had mechanical issues to fix, had a horrible OL for almost half a season, and only had a short time with his receivers.

Next year should be a crazy offensive year.

I mean, he is a statistically better passer and doesn't have the pocket presence of Helen Keller. Now explain to us in a coherent matter how rushing yards are less valuable and rushing TDs are worth less points.

28 to 28 total TD’s. How you score doesn’t matter is the narrative that we heard all this year. AND Max Johnson didn’t have a bowl game and SEC championship that Jayden did.

Do you think Johnson should be the QB at LSU over Daniels?

He will not start for Aggie next year.

He has already used 1 portal. If he portals out of A&M after 2023 season he will likely lose a year of eligibility and have none left. The NCAA just passed a rule that you get 1 portal transfer, no questions. For the 2nd one, you have to have a documented medical issue, either physical or mental health. Johnson has a physical medical issue now with his broken hand. If he wants to play, he should use that injury from 2022 while he still can and portal out in May.

He is not going to beat out Connor Weigman for QB1 at the Yell Leaders.

Maybe because one of them went 7-6, while the other went 10-4 and won the west? Or maybe it's because of the 920+ yards and 10 touchdown difference in rushing? Dumbass.
. He is always wrong about everything. It’s hilarious
