That is some nice Fournette highlights. The kid was so damn powerful! Sadly enough he was injury prone and it slowed down his full potential.

Those are awesome. Best is Fournette’s. When I watch the others I think, “Damn, that’s an amazing football player.” When I watch his I think, “I don’t know what that is, but it moves too fast and is too strong to be human.”

I just watched Tyrann’s clip...even though we all know how special he was, that video captured just HOW special. He was on another level.
I bet Guice’s video would be filthy too.

Wow. TM7 is such a special Tiger his talent on D was top shelf but when he had the ball from a pic or fumble recovery his ability to avoid tackles was awesome.
One of the best redemption stories around the way he has matured after being kicked off the team.
Love that guy.

TM7
I know I’m biased, but his instincts and knack for making a big play were the best I’ve ever seen. He was a human highlight reel.
ETA - I could also watch a highlight film of CEH’s jukes and spin moves all day. He was fun as hell to watch too

Great highlights of all, but hard not to choose LF7 for tops.
Wonder what will be added to Stingley’s highlights with 2 more seasons too add. I have no doubt it wil be phenomenal!

Burrows single season tape can’t be beat. It was so good, he won a heisman. That’s the answer

I'd have to watch them all to say which is the best.
I'm watching LF7 right now. What a fricking tragedy it was that he was wasted in that antiquated offense. Just watching him catch passes, and how explosive he was after a single move makes me wonder what he would have done in space in 2019. He turns up field so damn quickly. More than anything else, though, his ability to maintain his top speed for 50-60 yards downfield is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.
EDIT - I just watched all of them. They are all amazing, but 4 of them stand above the rest. Adams, Mathieu, and Burrow, and Fournette.
Adams' style is a tiny bit like Mathieu in terms of instinct, but what's more impressive than his ability to sniff out the ball is his technique in the open field. The spatial awareness he has is phenomenal. I know it's a highlight video, but there are only a few times he gets turned around, and within a second he is back in position bringing down the ball carrier. Not as impressive as Stingley, Peterson, or even Mathieu when the ball is in the air, but what a sure-fire tackler in space.
Fournette was dominating in an antiquated offense. Plain and simple, the dude was a man among boys. Very Cam Newton esque in terms of his ability to turn up field and bully people for an extra 5-10 yards. Like I said above, his ability to maintain his top speed 60 yards downfield is ridiculous. He's fast as hell, but his stamina is unparalleled.
Now that the dust has (semi) settled, and we can look at his highlights a bit more objectively, Burrow's ability to read a defense and then place the ball exactly where he wants is really phenomenal. He knows exactly what the DBs are going to do on every play, both pre-snap and DURING the play. It's incredible to me that he has the mental stamina to diagnose plays, decide to hand off, throw, or run, and then go through his progressions while simultaneously maintaining his positioning in the pocket and keeping an eye on the body position of the defensive back.
I may get some hate for this, but after watching Jefferson and Chase's highlight video, coupled with Burrow's, I am VERY curious to see how often the Bengals let him go deep. There were a few under thrown balls that would have been picked if not for Chase, Jefferson, and Marshall just being absolutely as sure handed as a trio can possible be. Particularly in the Auburn game, Burrow was bailed out a few times and actually looked human.
Mathieu's ability to create a play out of thin air is still the most impressive thing I've seen since I've started watching football. People like to use the phrase "nose for the football" as a colloquial for instinct that can't be taught, but I can only think of two other players I've ever seen be as keen to create turnovers on routine plays, both in college and NFL. Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu. I'm not comparing current Mathieu with them (although he seems to be on a bit of a resurgence), I'm saying that in 2011, Mathieu was the most impressive player I have ever seen play football.
If I have to pick one, despite what we just saw from Joe Burrow, I'm going with Tyrann Mathieu. It's highlight after highlight, turnover after turnover, game changing ability that is unmatched. It was absolutely absurd to watch when it was happening over the course of the season, and seeing it all put together leaves me dumbfounded.
A few other observations:
It's really cool to think about how we called Mettenberger the messiah, and touted him as a top 5 all-time QB, and when you compare him to Burrow he looks very pedestrian. His physical tools, his pocket presence, and even his toughness are completely overshadowed by Burrow. And that's no knock on Mett, it's just that Burrow looked as polished as I'd ever seen a college QB look.
Beckham, IMO, was better than Landry. I think Beckham gets hate because of his attitude and antics, but his highlight video was really spectacular. Truly a special playmaker who would have thrived in the 2019 offense.
The OG 7 still holds up. He was a hell of a playmaker, and about as solid as they come for a corner. That being said, I think Stingley will pass him up as the greatest corner to play at LSU when he graduates.
DWhite is fast as frick. Not sure I've seen a LB play as fast as him. It led to some whiffs throughout his career, but when he decides on a hole, he is there.

A handful of really good ones have been deleted or blocked due to copyright. Someone made a really good Mathieu mix for the 1st half of the 2011 season, it was synced to classical music.
