Jacob Hester....pick the moment...any moment....no one played with more heart, determination and humility than him.
Period.
End of story.

Josh Reed versus Alabama
This should have been mentioned earlier in the thread.
JR vs MSU in 2006 was probably the best performance by an LSU QB in Tiger Stadium that I've ever seen. I couldn't have beaten MSU worse on my playstation than JR was beating them.
Hester's performance against UF was one of the grittiest ever.
But I still think the best was Faulk vs Houston in 1996. Not many remember that he was supposed to be suspended for that game because of an arrest in the offseason, but Gerry lifted it in the fall. LSU loses that game badly without Faulk that night.

good one
and while josh reed was stupid good vs. alabama, i think his game against auburn in 2001 was better, not to mention in a much more important game

It's a tie between Hester vs. UF and Mauck in the SECCG.

Not hating on Hester but this ridiculous statement is a slap in the face to 100+ years of LSU football players.

K. Faulk and H Tyler aginst Notre Dame in loss at South Bend. They left it on the field.

An honorable mention that may very well belong in the Top 10
LSU Loses this game in the heroic hurricane ravaged season of 2005 without one defensive player completely taking the game into his hand.

I'm gonna get blasted for this but what about Lee vs. Auburn in 2008? Nobody saw that coming but unfortunately it was a one-time thing lol!

Cecil Collins vs. Auburn '97 was the best I've ever seen. He was unstoppable that night. I'll never understand why he didn't get the ball on 3rd and 2 at the end of the game. One of the most pissed off nights of my life!

Kyle Williams vs Bama in '05. 12 tackles 3.5 sacks plus a halftime peptalk he gave the team to get them ready

Cecil v Aub. They had one of the best defenses in the country loaded with future NFL stars, hadn't given up 100 yds to any team in forever and he goes off for 250. Looked like a man playing with his kids!

In 2001 Josh Reed caught 19 passes for 293yds and a TD.
In 2004 Joe Addai willed that LSU team to a win at Florida.
Those are two that come to mind.

JL vs Troy.
The biggest comeback in LSU history.

Not the best, but should be added to the list IMO: Chad Jones beating MSU 2009
I'm surprised. This is what I was gonna put. I completely agree. People forget this performance because everyone was so pissed the game was close. Doesn't change the fact that Chad Jones won us that game.
