Vs an non conference opponent, the most complete game LSU played was vs Georgia Southern. Against a really good QB was vs Utah State.
Vs an SEC school? Probably would have been Auburn but for a couple of offensive hiccups on their side of the field and a fumbled punt. Both three and outs, one at the goal line, were just frustrating to watch. Had LSU converted those, the game turns into a blowout.
For the defense, the season starts today. Big plays have been what racked up yardage against LSU for the most part. Many on missed assignments and some on poor tackling and technique. All are things that are fixable during the season, the fact that many talking heads are now criticizing LSU’s defense in terms of where they should fall in playoff rankings after Ole Miss seems to have lit a fire under the coaching staff. I think the days of good enough may be winding down.

My vote is Utah State or Miss State

My number 1 would definitely be the Bama game. To finally see the dominance against a top team. Number 2 is the Utah state game because I was physically there and it also looked like one of the most complete games we have played this year.

Sorry.

In absolutely withering heat, no less. It was hot as the blazes in the stands. I can't imagine what it was like on the field in game conditions

First half Bama game was probably the best half of LSU football in the program's history, so this was easy

Yes I remember it was very hot in the stands but still at the end of the game we played a complete game. I was just happy to see a 60 minute game period against a good quarterback. We can’t say that about all of our games.

Has to be Alabama. Not just because of the stakes but because of the domination apart from a few trick / BS plays. Barring the tua injury, if we lose that game Bama is at #1 and in the drivers seat right now

There was never a doubt that lsu would win that game.

Au contraire. I had scads of doubts LSU would win when Florida scored on a long drive at the start of the third to go up 28-21.
Then Joe Burrow responded bigly on the next possession, like the boss he is!
The outcome of that game was in doubt until Florida's late misfire following the roughing the passer penalty on LSU.
