And someone made a boatload of $$$ selling bumper stickers after the game "I was there when we beat the Bear. LSU 20 - Alabama 10"

They were printing outside the stadium and the ink was still wet.

Tailgated in a lumber yard (that was still open) and HATT and the bartenders from Freds threw down there and shite got insane. I remember them playing pregame then thunderstruck and the bartenders running around pouring jeager and crown straight in people's mouths in a mosh pit.

I was there. One of the greatest tailgate parties I have ever been to. It was insane.

The UW one was a fun time. We went to the stadium on a boat. A guy that worked on the boat said all the boats available for charter had been sold out for months. All were chartered out by Tiger fans! It was awesome.

We passed another boat in Lake Washington and our boat said "GEAUXXXXXX'' and the other boat yells back, ''TIGERSSSSS."

That was a lot of fun. We threw beads to UW fans when we were walking up the dock.

I remember a guy standing next to me at the baggage claim in the airport and he says to his buddy (who was picking him up, I assume) and he says,"Man, they drank everything on the plane." What do you mean? "All the booze! They drank it all!" and the other guy says, "Seattle's not going to know what hit it."

Both Bama trips, aTm 2 yrs ago and UGA this year.

An Alabama Alum gave me my ticket for free this year. It was pretty awesome and humbling.

My friend at Alabama always tells me how excited everyone is to come to Baton Rouge.

Seattle did not know what hit it. I mean we literally drank bars dry. They could not handle our drinking. We had so many fans there that you could not walk anywhere without bumping into LSU fans. I'll never forget that trip.

Part of our group took over some tailgating grounds on the UW campus. They got there at 7 am and UW fans show up and they told them, "Uh, this is our spot." and my buddies said,"Not trying to be a jerk but this week it's ours." They asked when they got there and just were beside themselves that they got there so early.

That's how we do it!

LSU vs Indiana in Bloomington (even though we lost by 3) - my first road trip and the same year the movie "Breaking Away" put Bloomington on the map

At Notre Dame in 1998 I believe it was. With all of the history and the College Football Hall of Fame being there. Chicago is a short drive away which adds to the experience.
The tailgating was pretty lame and their fans are too unenthusiastic though.

Been to one road game every year since 2007, so my experience is limited. My basic thoughts ...

Best overall experience: Atlanta/Athens this past season

Overrated: Ole Miss ('09)

Underrated: Auburn ('12)

This year, we are leaning heavily towards Arky in Fayetteville. Does anyone have any thoughts on that?

in 1984, i flew to Maui and spent a week there playing golf and exploring the island. I left and flew to Los Angeles to catch the LSU VS the University of Southern California football game in the Colliseum, Lsu beat the crap out of them. Good times!!

Not even close. My freshman year. Fraternity took a road trip to Alabama in 1982. We kicked the goat plop out of the crimson Skoal Juice Chins - 20-10. (However, it was in Birmingham).

quote:
My fraternity did the same thing i.e. chartered a bus to the 1984 game in B'ham. "Rockin' Ray" was our bus driver. Started drinking at 4:00 a.m. There was a tornado at half time then turned cold. Tigers and Eric Martin won! Stayed drunk on the way home, too.

hah my old man did the a similar thing with his fraternity. RV trip I think. Can't remember if he said the '82 or '84 game

What fraternity? We (TKE) went in RVs too....
